I figured it makes sense to start with the college level expansion because if we began with high school, we wouldn't have the college infrastructure in place yet for players to "graduate" to if they don't get drafted.
Per the game we need 43 feeders for our 10 round draft and we currently have 48 I believe. If we want to make the draft longer (they suggest 15 Rds for 3 minor league levels) then we would need 65 feeder teams.

I have no idea how changing anything would affect things though. I could see adding more HS to level it out. It's currently 36-12 in favor of college.

Putting in some of our own high schools in would be cool.

If I put together a proposal for expanded high schools and took the lead with logos and uniforms, would that be something we might be able to do?

I'm not sure why other owners would be opposed. My main concern is you and Brad.

We already have more feeder teams than needed though per the game. I don't mind adding 12 more HS teams to balance things out but we need a 15 Rd draft then.

I'm not sure how feasible 15 round draft would be with our current caps on minor league rosters.

                        • I don't think we need to expand the draft, given how many of the lower round players end up getting cut either immediately after the draft or shortly after. Just seems like we'd add a bunch of players that we don't have room for.

I don't know how much desire there is to expand our minor league systems. I know we've talked about it many times, but never really gotten anywhere. I'd imagine that there's some owners who don't want to deal with another level of minor leagues, it can be a chore sometimes to keep up with the 3 we have.

I thought that's what Clay did.

                            • Was he the commish then? I thought Andrew still was when we created them. I know my high school is one of them that we have, so it wasn't just Clay's idea.
