I asked my manager for a pitching staff recommendation and he goes with a 6 man rotation and has the bullpen exactly as I would set it up.

            First time that's ever happened.

Yes even funclown believes in fairness (despite pushing the financials) but no other league is growing at such a ridiculous slow pace.
I was a big fan of a salary cap back in the day.
I wanted to see small market clubs have a chance to do well.

Not anymore. All those small market teams are still small market and incapable of signing or keeping top players.
                    Nashville is a prime example.

What the cap does is prevent certain teams from being true dynasties.
I'm no Blackhawks fan (Detroit fan myself), but they should be able to keep all their players if they are generating enough money to do so.
And what's wrong with a dynasty? It's been proven that they help drive revenues.
I LOATHE the Yankees, but I'll watch every postseason just to see them lose.
And that's what polarizing teams like that will do; bring out the masses who either hate them, or love them.

One could make an argument that the NHL Cap hasn't really worked since it's been mostly the same teams winning or competing for Cups since '06.
But I have a hard time believing that the Hawks wouldn't have more championships if they were allowed to keep Big Buff, Saad, Campbell and a few other pieces that were shown the door.
It would have also helped popular teams like Detroit remain relevant as well as every CDN team - which generates close to 40% of the overall revenues of the league - even with a weak CDN dollar.

It's why I prefer the MLB model.

(Sorry to derail. Continue with BLB talk).

I think the MLB has made great strides. Use to be the Yankee's or Redsox would just buy everyone. You can still do it some, but the "team control" and slot bonus system has really leveled the playing field at least in a players early years. You still need the "evil empire", but now teams like the Devil Rays or Pirates can at least compete.

Btw- Looks like its O versus O next week?? Past 2 Champions square off "mono e mono". Just ignore us though as we pose no threat to you.

It should be an interesting series for both so good luck to you.

Just as a reminder, look for Troy Martin (CL) on the waiver wire next sim. A very talented reliever on a decent contract.

Very few things are more annoying than seeing a guy hit like shit and and him having a little smiley by his performance morale.
