I knew it was going to be a rough opening week, with road trips to Wilmington and Philly on the schedule. I was not anticipating getting swept twice and going 0-6 for the sim. The new name did not bring any luck to the Windy City. At least nobody got hurt.

So, rainouts are handled about as expected: poorly.

Is it possible to turn them off?

If so, maybe it would be worth a discussion.

I like the idea of having rain outs but not if it fucks things up.

Game grabbed one of my bullpen guys to start one of the double header games effectively skipping a member of the rotation. Then again, I'm GM only so maybe my Manager made the call (even though I have control over my lineups).

On the bright side the RP your manager chose to starter ended up with the 3rd best pitching performance of the week: 8 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K

Yeah, no doubt. I should just hand over the reigns across the board.

Our one injury of the week did occur in the 2nd game of the double header. Ideally the manager would look at injury history and consider a game off for more injury prone players instead of asking them to play 18 innings on the same day.

Seems Batavia players are having some money issues:

For sure these guys are gonna go, but looking at the financial most who can pull it off are in rebuild mode. Looks like after scouting and PD only 7 teams are below 90 million.

As the year goes though these demands will drop a bit more.
