    Offseason Schedule

    3/25 Fri AM - Free Agency 5 - Feb 1 to Feb 16
    3/26 Sat AM - Free Agency 6 - Feb 16 to ST
    3/28 Mon AM - Spring Training 1

    Reminder

    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their third arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have three "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.

He's going to peak all over your team's pitching staff in 2016 and 2017.

Hope you have enough towels in Pawtucket.

Anything is possible. Guy can really hit those balls a long way. Worked out great for us. See how he does as he approaches his mid 30's.

Two additions in Washington this week, and that should wrap up our free agency spending. I would guess that any further roster changes will come through the trade market for us. I'm pretty happy with how the offseason has gone, but I said that last season too and we sputtered for most of the year. If I say we'll be good often enough, sooner of later I'll be right.

That team really came together down the stretch of the regular season. You also took the eventual Champions to seven games...a game in which you lead entering the bottom of the 8th...That's pretty good, no?

I love this. Not that you signed Dunn, or that you could be good, but just your enthusiasm.

T.J. Dunn on that contract is a steal.

                    ---

How David Santoyo remains unsigned is a mystery...and how he has only gone 1-year deals the past three off-seasons is laughable. He can play 1B, 2B, 3B and SS, lead the DL in walks in 2015, lead the IL in OBP in 2013 and while he's 37 soon, he's shown no signs of slowing down.

We got better at the end. For most of the season, I was disappointed. I thought we could win 95+ games again, but that could just be me being delusional.

Anyway, with my expert moves this offseason, we will surely rampage through the IL in 2016.

I can understand the one year deals. Removes the risk especially with the history of older guys.

What looks like not slowing down today can immediately change and then you're stuck with a multi-year deal on a declining player.

Why he's not at least signed to a one year deal right now, I'm not sure. If I had any money, I would definitely consider him on a one year deal.

I believe that his demands are more than I can afford, or I have made a mistake.

Of course. You'd think by this point someone would give him a team option at least.

If I had the money going into this season, I'd have thrown the team option at him when I signed him. Hell, I'd have thrown a couple at him. Well worth the money last year.
