    Reminder

    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their third arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have three "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.

Dunn dropped off the top players list so curious to those in game.....did his contract demand take a nosedive?

Just trying to learn things for the future of free agency.

Pawtucket keeps signing young players this offseason hoping for a some random dice rolls.

I thought he was off last SIM? Only Gibson was left. And all salaries will drop eventually.

Dunn hasn't been on the Top Players list since the start of Free-Agency, if not longer. The only Free-Agent on the Top Players list has been OF Tom Gibson.

        ---

Big Free-Agent signing for the 2nd year in a row:

SS/2B Dave Nelson - Stays in the Porter joining California for three-years at $57M. I think this is a really good get for the Kodiaks as Nelson was one of the best players to hit the market. $19M/year is a lot of money but how many switch-hitting, middle of the order, DWI level defender at 2B AND SS are ever available in this league?

It's just one season but Nelson hit better on the road last year and in California he hit: .364 with a 1.031 OPS. He cares a lot about loyalty so a three years deal might see a boost from Nelson's 2014-2015 numbers. He also cares about winning though...Either way, great signing by PaulC.

Dunn has been a strange case. He's rarely been out of the 15-20 range and has been in and out of the list quite often, especially during his Toronto years.

I see that OOTP 16 does not like any of my prospects.

No one has lost any ratings or potential but we went from having 9-11 names in the Top 100 to 4.

                Interesting.

edit: I take it back. I do see some changes from OSA, but not quite as dramatic. Either way, it's all about depth.

I need to go back and check in OOTP 15, but I think it calculates WAR differently too.

Really wanted to extend him, but his demands for an extension were much higher than what he asked for on the open market.

                        Sigh. Storylines strike again.

They mean well; they really do, but can't really consistently stick the landing.

A Mexican national running for US House of Reps? Um, ok.

As long as you've been a US Citizen for at least seven years, I believe so.

Though, the part here - "The former star announced at a rally in his home city of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico" - would seem a bit odd.
