    Reminder

    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their third arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have three "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.

I have no idea how this will go, it appears to have gone smooth but check over everything.

There was a ton of work done behind the scenes by Brad, Andrew, and I. If there are issues please let us know (nicely ) and we will fix them the best we can.

If it turns into a dumpster fire I have a backup.

Everyone important is back and we are right in line with our budget. Going to miss the beginning of FA. I have some cost controlled big names to move in Willie Rosales, Troy McCarley and Dave Honea if the right offer comes in. Otherwise, we are just looking to add a defensive C who can hit lefties and a defensive LF who hits about .265. An elite lefty SU man or CL would be nice, but not sure we find one for the right salary.

Either way, we are in great shape bringing up Jamie August and Erik Jackson to a 100+ win ball club.

Also it no longer does GM of the Year...it actually gives the award to a manager. I can't actually pick it but it's different.

Denver signs Legend Leonel Tesina to become our Assistant GM. He likes young players with speed which is part of our philosophy moving forward. Hoping the next 34 years are better than the last.

Might need to retire Tesina's #12.

                Another post,

I like that in arbitration a player can simply agree to the team's offer and not go to arbitration.

Zachary Pottery and T.J. Davis agreed to their offers and canceled the hearing.

                  Argh!

Like Brad mentioned, I feel the pain of not having my filters.

That's cool Carlos! I don't have the sim in front of me so I can't see the details. I wonder if some of my players did the same?

I got hosed in the Izzy Briseno hearing. He wasn't even a starter by the end of the season, losing his starting role to Santiago and he still got a $2M raise!!!

I think I won most of my cases though so I shouldn't complain. But paying over $2M for a backup hurts!

The team was NOT happy about us trading away Evers.

Not good for our pitching staff going forward.

Well, I won all the arbitration cases, which is nice.

Now I have to find out how to spend the money wisely out there.... Tight budget here this year, F***** McLamore

I'm loving these new demands that the players submit.

T.J. Dunn: 4 yrs/30 MM? That is what I expect to see.

Wow! But you're right, I was guessing a player of his ilk would want Bautista money.

I'm sure his demands will come down if nobody offers it up though.
I had to let Todd Robideau go last year because he wanted over $12M/year.
But then he signed for $5M once the market dried-up.

Hopefully some of these top FA's will play nice in a week or two. ;)
