I don't think it matters until games start, so you are fine.

Since there are no FA signings yet no one can hoard, but that might be something to look at in the future. Maybe no minor league rosters over 30 during the off-season.

      Sorry.

He didn't pitch any innings in relief so we'll probably have to pass on him.

          Cool!

          I like '16 a lot. It's like a shiny new toy.

Hey, we seem to have lost in-game history for all retired players.

Anyone else seeing this? Can we do anything about it?

              Legendary PC Frank Kershner retires.

Danny Salcedo retires as a Scorpion and we will retire his #33.

Owner has goals of a winning season, acquire a Stout Slugger (we have one... Troy McCarley) and reach the Brewmaster's. Fair enough.

Market size goes to Very Big and we get a budget bump.

Zack Wallace, Travis Zuk, and Dave Porter all will have TOs picked up.

If I make moves and export are they staying or is this some in between file?

We've always been missing some. We lost it in a conversion years ago.

I just fired up '15 and '16 and it seems if it was there in '15 it's there in '16.

Make moves and export. This is the Team Option/Arb SIM. We won't put out a new file until the next SIM. I don't want to chance anything.

                      Hells yea!

You can see the upcoming eligible HOF candidates. I know it may not match the utility, but cool nonetheless.

And it looks like we could vote in game if we want to.

I mean, I pull up the player profile of Danny Salcedo -- who just retired -- and when I click over to his History tab, the bottom tab with the history is empty.

Well, I fixed the windowed issue earlier, though the game still seems a bit low resolution to me, despite the setting. Oh well.

I downloaded OOTP 16 a few months ago, but this is the first time I've played it. Interested in the new manager settings (even if we turn them off) and the ratings/reputation that's there. I also kinda like the owner expectations. For example, mine say to re-sign Troy Martin and upgrade at 3B. Sadly, Martin is not negotiating, so we're off to a poor start.

I'll have to play around a bit more.

On the Bats front, Castellanos failed to meet his vesting option, so he's a free agent. I think he's got some usefulness left. DJ Nelson's Team Option has been declined. Happy bidding.

I remember the 2006 draft like it was yesterday...

I had the 21st and 23rd overall picks and was licking my chops by mid-first round when my big targets SP William Eddy and OF Oscar Sanchez were still on the board. Of course, Eddy went 16 and Sanchez went 19th and I was left scrambling.

My scout really wasn't a huge fan of either DJ Nelson nor C Wayne Nelson, but OSA however was. I think this was the first draft where I went with stats/OSA over my own scout in the 1st round. In hindsight, 2.2 Taylor Thomas and 2.3 Tom Wright ended up better OFs than DJ Nelson, but Wayne Nelson has been key to a lot of successful DC seasons behind the plate. It did however take the Thomas and Wright a lot longer to reach the pros while DJ Nelson was in the BLB as early as 2008, and part of seven consecutive playoff teams.

I'm not sure what the market will be for DJ. After bursting onto the scene, his last three seasons have left a lot to be desired. He's 31. No longer expects to start. Currently ranks as the 22nd best LF. Was very inconsistent in the playoffs. Is average with the glove. Below average intangibles. He's also battled injuries.

I'm sure he will find work as a 4th OF who can switch hit and lots of experience. But what will his asking price be? He made almost $13M in arbitration in 2014. He might be lucky to get $4M/year going forward.
