Al Moon. Worth every penny.

Well, maybe. He threw 8 solid innings, but his 2-run bomb in the 6th tied the game for us. Almost a hidden value for him is the additional bat we gain when he starts, and it was big today. We end up with a second consecutive walk-off win, as Urmson delivered the hit to bring home Hector Vargas in the 9th. Urmson was 4/5 at the plate, with the 3 RBI that Moon didn't have.

We now move on to be mercilessly beaten by Death Valley.

Not surprised at all with the loss. I am however surprised how decisive it was.

Like I told Mike, this just wasn't a good match-up for us in a Wild Card elimination game. We struggled bad against LHP all year and Dallas was able to throw just lefties for the entire game. They were also very much our counter as they lead the DL in defensive efficiency and we were dead last. Watching the replay really lets you see how much defense matters. The Sharks got to all the close balls that the Millers missed.

Congrats to Sharkn on your first play-off victory!
