With one week left feel free to vote for any "locks" and pimp away any players in this thread.

    Thanks!

And unless someone has a major objection I think we toss GM of the year voting to the side.

The game manually picks it (I can't override it) and we have no record of who we vote for.

On a side not who we vote for usually wins...just like the other awards. HAL is pretty good these days. And it picks for the both the DL and IL, which we don't do.

Doesnt StatsLab have a voting history for GM of the year?

From '04 on. I guess it can't hurt it just seems pointless to me since the game has been recording it's own version...one for each league...since the beginning.

I'm not sure where the game keeps the info but I wonder if there are little icons by the managers name if they won it.

Jimmy Lee will probably win it. Salazar is darn good too.

Feels weird voting for Verba and McPherson on different teams.

Any other year Salazar gets ROY, Jimmy Lee hit 32 HR as a rookie which is amazing.

Salazar has better avg. But my God 32 HRs??? Where this guy is coming from???

2nd is good enough for a former #4 Overall pick :)

Filar had very similar numbers last year and the word beast or lock never came up... Followed by losing out to a pitcher... A pitcher.

He's still pissed about that, hence no sophomore slump.

Over the last two years, Fred Evers (RP) has led the IL in just about every statistical category imaginable for relief pitchers but was completely overlooked by the voters last year (beaten out by his teammate no less).

This year he leads the league in WHIP, K, OAVG, and VORP (according to the utility). He may get looked over because he's not a closer and doesn't have the saves to match but make no mistake, he's one of the best relievers in the league right now.

Even if you don't think he should win, please do this man some justice and give him some serious consideration for a Last Call vote instead of the pitiful two votes (one from me) he received last year.

Love Evers. He wouldn't negotiate with me, only reason he became a free agent.

ERA is so overrated. He had a really good season in Denver. Never doubted he could still perform at a high level.

I like the RP from New York too, don't remember the name now. But he had thousands of innings last year... pitching very well in a very weak team
