DVS is on pace to have one of the best team ERA's in BLB history.
Their 2.76 ERA on the season far outpaces any other team (2nd is Dallas at 3.21) and would rank 4th All-Time behind the 2004 and 2005 Windy City staff and the inaugural Brawlers who top the charts with a 2.58 ERA in the 1979 season.
They have to be the favorite for the title this year.

Well, we really let the season slip away once again. This week was a microcosm of the entire season. Got off to a great start taking the first 2 games from Los Alamos and then were cruising in game 3 but we gave up 3 runs in the 9th to blow the game when closer Jamie Cook wasn't available to go after pitching in games 1 and 2. Big opportunity lost there.
Then we lost another heartbreaker in extra innings in game 3 against Wilmington.
If we could have sealed the deal on those 2 wins, we'd be sitting 1 game back of WAS and 2 back of BAL with 3 games against each in the final week with a real chance to do some damage. As it is, we need a 6-0 week to have any shot of grabbing a WC, and that's just about the most unlikely thing I can imagine right now with this team and its inconsistencies.Philly Freedom

Regardless of what happens, we have a big decision with Sal Bermudez (SP) who has been amazing since coming back to the IL from Maine. In Baltimore, Sal has 10 starts: 7-3, 2.80 ERA, 62 K, 7 BB, 0.95 WHIP.
He's got a 10.3MM team option for 2016. That's how you force a GM's hand.
