5-2 week including taking 3 of 4 from the best team in baseball. Takes us to 20-5 for the month. It's now that we welcome Pat back for some last week playoff discussions.

Jarrod Syversten throws another CG, this time only striking out 12.

            Last 2 starts: 18 IP - 27 K - 1 R

And Dallas is back to the play offs after a 3-4 week...

We're playing really bad baseball in September and the injury of our MVP Romero is not gonna help the rest of the way.

But we're so happy with our season!

Go Sharks! Let's rest some starters with nothing to play for the last 6 games

We stayed healthy for the most part all season and of course Oto goes down the second to last sim. Three weeks, big loss for the Dukes.

3-3 sim, showing some signs of life at the end of the year. Took 2/3 from Maine which is a positive but lost the series to New Orleans. The roster is littered with a bunch of old dudes that won't be here next year on the offensive side of the ball. Can't wait to see Gordie Gugliotta, Wes Macdonald, and Eric Johnson getting a lot of at bats next year with the big squad.

Urgh another MVP that goes down for the play-offs.

                    First Romero now Oto...

Batavia opened the door for us but we refused to walk through.

But we are on the edge of making the playoffs again and if we make it with this squad, it is a nice little accomplishment.

We've gone +12 over the last 2 months but playing .500 ball the rest of the year doomed us.

If we played Carolina and WC this week I think we might sneak in, but we have 3 against our bitter rival Morgantown who has owned us this year.

I'm happy with a 4-3 week on the road against two playoff teams. We played 6 one-run games this week, going 4-2 in them, so very easily could have gone a different way. But, we head into the last week with a 2 game lead for the 2nd Wildcard spot, and just one behind Baltimore for the #1 spot.

I'm not sure how we've managed it, but we're 17-8 in September. Of all people, Rich Pena and Kunihiro Inouye are carrying this offense. Inouye has been in AAA all season (a mistake on my part, obviously). Pena's just been on a tear this month. It's not sustainable, but maybe it'll be enough to get us into the playoffs. Looks like I'll get Johnny Lopez back if we manage to get in.

3 at Wilmington to start the week, then 3 at home against Philly to finish the season.

Inouye was such a intelligent and scrappy player for us. Even thought it is Washington, I'm happy to see him have success again.
