Our young pitching is really coming along in the second half. Love seeing Smith, Reyna and Davis improving over the course of the season.

Melgoza has been up and down after an injury filled last season and we could never find a fifth starter but that's typical.

The countdown for Reed begins, I guess. Until then, it will be Chidester.

The Bulldogs go 5-1 but the Wildcats don't give two f***s. They also go 5-1 to maintain a comfortable lead going into the final two weeks.

William Eddy (SP) has been MONEY in September for us going 3-0 and hasn't given up a run in his last three starts.

On the offensive side 27 year old rookie, J.J. Meyers has been sensational through his first 77 AB. With a .377/.430/1.106 split, Meyers has been the catalyst to the offense over the past month or so.

        Very nice to see.

Good week overall for the Millers going 4-2. That puts us at 15-3 for the month so far.

Unbelievable outing by Jarrod Syversten at home vs LAD, complete game shut out, ties a Millers franchise record with 15 Ks while only walking two.

Big 7 game homestand with HAR and INDY coming in...we've had the upper hand against IND with a 9-7 record this year. 4 games at home, we'd like to finish with a season series win.

Lots of rest on deck for the guys in the lineup...might see Santana, Shook, Schubert, and Taylor spending a few games in their hoodies and shorts in the clubhouse to keep their bodies fresh for playoffs.

Something that caught my eye.....Really impressed with a sequence in game with two of my promising future core guys.

O'Hearn draws a four pitch walk...

          Next up is Vickers,

          0-0: Called Strike
          0-1: Called Strike
          O'Hearn steals second base.
          0-2: FOUL
          0-2: Ball
          1-2: Ball
2-2: Ground out to Second baseman, O'Hearn moves to third.

For two 21 year olds to play such fundamentally sound ball in a playoff hunt during the month of September, that's a great sign. We're gonna need that type of smart baseball from everyone to accomplish our ultimate goal in October.

Denver and Death Valley are the only teams in the league with a triple play this year.

How do write in Award votes work in this league?

A 4-2 week with series wins over Davenport and Windy City at home. I was hoping for a good week against those two, since they've had rough seasons. We really needed a good week if we wanted to have a shot.

Tough week coming up, on the road at Baltimore and Morgantown. This race is going to come down to the wire. 10 game road trip coming up for the Bats.

He's a gotdamn black hole for team morale.

I imagine he talks a lot of shit about how awesome he was every game, more so when his team loses.

There's no need to. Hank, Brian, RobD should top everyone's ballot. I'd hate to speak on Pats behalf but I think he's more concerned with adding another ring to his mantle than a write in vote when Morgantown makes their first playoff appearance and Wilmington makes it for the first time since '89

PS, the single best transaction that was made in the BLB this year was bringing Pat back into the fold.

I love that in 154 postseason plate appearances, he has a .228 average with .684 OPS. #Choker

If not for that one Brewmasters appearance, I would consider him a legit cancer.

Actually, he might still be. That Denver team probably succeeded in spite of him.
