3-3, Ho-hum. Just an average team. Couple of outstanding performances but nothing that will keep us competitive for the long haul this year.

In other news, Walt Nichol (OF) was a 2 at LF at the beginning of preseason when I trade for him. Now he's a "6" after ST and 1.5 months of sporadic use there. Defensively, this guy is a monster. Also, looks like the rookie Dave Graves (2B) will take a few more AB vs RHP from Joey Daily at 2B. In limited at-bats, he (Graves) hasn't slowed down all season so he's earning a longer and longer leash.

Since we aren't competitive for the division, might as well gradually make the switch.

Zach McCormick pitched 8.2 innings of no-hit ball before allowing a single to Gamboa with 2 outs in the 9th. I really like what I am seeing with my young arms.

We managed to score a late run to tie in up against the Brawlers and won in the 10th to avoid our third 7 game losing streak of the season.

It's going to be a long season in California, with or without, major league talent at the BLB level.

Regrets Already!

We also took a tough loss against Chaz Stanley. The first pitcher on my board when I opted for Garrek Finn for his bat. I am learning quickly that passing on arms like that for another right fielder are a big no no!
