With the 1st overall selection in the 2015 BLB Draft. The Toronto Canadians select C Robby 'Old Nick' O'Neal from the Morton West Mustangs.

    http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...ayer_9225.html

I felt the draft dropped off significantly after O'Neal. I'm not sure if Spectre felt the same about O'Neal as I did but wanted to go out and grab him.

He's 6'8 has decent intangibles and will come up with our other high school players we drafted this year.

Well, spear made an offer I couldn't refuse.

Oh well, one year I will actually pick at #1. This was much better than the time I traded out of the #1 spot with Clay...

EDIT: Nice pick Spear, O'Neal was somebody I was considering too considering there has been a HUGE void of catching talent in the BLB in recent years. There used to be a ton of good catchers but that is no longer the case.

My pick will be forthcoming- I think I know who I want but I need to mull it over for a little bit

My scout has him at 3 contact potential. I hope for your sake my scout is wrong.

Also, do you plan on deploying him as a catcher? The "2" catcher ability is concerning. He has an arm though. Don't remember anyone trying a catcher like that before.

He will be a DH. My scout has him at 6's and 7's across the board for hitting. I'm starting to value OSA's opinion more than my scout's. So if both like him that's good enough for me.

Didn't you hear, we're going no DH for both leagues.

My scout sees the #1 Overall pick as a 5/4/8/6/4 potential, a liability in D# but ey Hall of Fame material! I didn´t expect him ever falling to the #9 Overall pick, good pick up Spear!

For me, its a matter of value. There are good players out there but are they worth a high pick? Or do i make a trade and stockpile picks or get a good prospect in return?

With the 2nd overall pick in the 2015 BLB Amateur Draft, the New York Knights select Dave "Frankenstein" Kauffman, starting pitcher from the University of Arizona. Kauffman has been dominant in his two years in the desert, compiling a 8-3 record and striking out 166 batters in only 109 innings with a WHIP of 0.91. He's been on a very mediocre Arizona team so his win loss record could be better. He's a big kid too, standing 6'7 and weight 220 pounds. He's already pretty polished, should be in the big leagues in the next year and a half is my guess. He's the type of pitcher that I like in that he throws lots of strikes.

                            Dave Kauffman profile

He may not be a #1 but I think he will be a solid #2 behind Ballard or Osborn (or Mejia if he develops fast enough) going forward in the future.

I'm happy with this pick, now time to boot up my draft list and observe the rest of the 1st round from afar. Gotta get ready for my three picks in the 2nd round

Kauffman was the first on my list, my scout saw him as a #3 starter, good pick

Your pick wasn't made in the Draft Tool, just a heads up, don't know if you tried to do it, and it didn't go through or if you just announced here without making, in fact, the pick.

Not rushing anyone at all, don't jump into my throat :)
