    Reminder

    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their third arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have three "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.

Only 7 teams in...please get your HofF votes in. Please read Z's bio's for the Veteran Class...great write-ups and a lot of good information.

    ________________________________________

Hall of Fame voting is open. As you can see due to missing a year (we lost the ballots) and some old vets getting a second look the ballot is stacked. Due to the size it has been separated into two categories, New Class and Veterans Class. So even though the voting is all together is one place, please treat them as two different ballots.

As many of you know over the years our HofF voting has been quite stringent and combined with other factors a few good players have been left out of BLB immortality. Please take the time to review each class and vote for as many of those as you feel worthy. Last time several ballots had 15+ players.

In order to get into the HofF a player must receive 75% of the vote. In order to stay on the ballot the player must earn 40% of the vote. In case you're unaware, you can change your ballot if you already voted. Just go back to the utility and add/remove names and hit submit ballot again.

I can't make the playoffs and I'm in debt. Tobs active roster is for sale.

Extremely productive FA 1 for us. We bring back utility IF Travis Zuk on a cheap deal. We add two of our lefty bullpen targets in Danny Huerta and Zack Wallace at cost effective prices. We also scored 2 of the better international MRs for near the minimum as wild cards and added depth.

Couple big names come off the board early with (hopefully) the correct TO buyouts attached/included in their contracts.

We still have one or two small holes and plenty of FA money to chase a big fish.

With Zuk back in the fold, Troy McCarley is possibly headed elsewhere. Fielded some offers, but was waiting for us to sign Zuk. If you're interested in McCarley, now is the time to get an offer in.

Combs deserved to get paid. His contract was criminal. One of those 1st year Arb guys that we have fixed. Excited to get Gutierrez, our OF will be pretty nice with him, Stark and Lowe.

Pretty happy with the first round of signings. Got a few guys that I think can help us out, without having to spend too much. Missed out on a couple other players I offered, but that's to be expected.

I've still got some room to add an impact player, especially if I am able to move someone from my block.

And now, the uneasy feeling of having a new Scouting Director!

Hux is good. I just fired him because id rather have an ability guy.

The scouting in this game is terrible. There was a version, I can't remember which one, that had a Director, then two or three other scouts. They each had their own set of reports for each player, so you had multiple opinions to go off of. I probably hated it at the time, but looking back, I wish that was still an option.

That makes more sense to me than how they have just one guy in the game. At the end of the day though, im not sure how much a scouts ratings even matter when we can judge a player base on his stats. Stats dont lie.
