Matt, when do we have to set our finances?
I need to move some money around for FA's but don't want to get hosed with having 0 towards scouting/development.

    Thanks!

Well we got taken to the cleaners in arbitration. That took away a good chunk of my spending ability, but still some budget room to hopefully pick up some impact guys.

Might need to look at moving an arm or two.

I've been running Maine for 21 seasons now. I've never felt so uncertain about where we're heading.

Bafford is locked up in his prime, but he gets hurt a lot.

I have Neubauer for two years, but he's 35 and coming off a season-ending shoulder injury.

Twinkle Toes is signed for four more years and is in his prime (theoretically), but he suffered three serious injuries in 2014.

Voodoo is 32 and entering his final year of this contract. He understandably wants a lot of money.

Hernandez is 38 years old and also on his last contract year.

Suarez is 36, on the final season of his current contract, and was limited by injuries to 53 games in 2014.

Mattison, still awesome, is 35, on an expiring contract, and already expressed his wish to enter free agency next offseason.

Garner is 32 and entering his final contract year.

Herrera is 27, signed long-term, and just won another DWI, but injuries allowed him to play only 88 games this past year.

Zurita is 33, signed for two years, and played only 89 games in 2014 before suffering a broken kneecap from which he won't recover fully until shortly before spring training.

Einstein is signed for cheap and is an okay starting first baseman.

I have a few bullpen guys on cheap expiring contracts.

Injuries have conspired against us. And the years catch up.

Where to from here? Decisions, decisions.

Remember the contract rules. I updated the 1st post.

Z pointed a violation which made me realize I just made a FA offer that violated the rule...and I was the one who came up with rule!

Okay, what am I doing wrong?
When I look up Free Agents, all I get is crap to pop up.
Rodrigues and Robideau, etc, aren't even listed.

I'm going to Offseason Centre and then Free Agents, and non of the big names are there.

Where should I be going to see all the top FA's?

                    Thanks!

We haven't had a top 20 hitter since Rex Morgan. I couldn't just let him walk. It's going to hurt in the end, but for now, we have everyone else coming back next season.

                                Yea.

I think I'm going to like these new increased demands. We should've done this a while ago. Things should get interesting late in FA (as it should) as there is more of a decision making process between dumping cash into scouting/PD and trying to get those big names to win and put butts in seats.
