IL New Brew have a bunch of quality candidates. The Kodiaks sent out a DVD highlight package of Dusty Filar's 16 homer and 34 RBI August and September during our short lived pennant race. Not bad for 22. With no playoffs, we are trying to win award season!

Scriber has the eye-popping saves but really, Fred Evers should win Last Call. Look at his numbers in the DL and IL.
He's been amazing all year.

I think Rosema should be the runaway Stout Slugger in the IL. I'm just not sure how Tom Gibson has that many votes. If you're a voter who doesn't like Rosema's power and wanted a true slugger why wouldn't you vote for Wright or Ladd? If you wanted a team MVP, he may have been that in DEN... in the DL. If you thought he was PHI's MVP, did the fact they gave him up and got better play into it? And if you thought he was the MVP for both PHI and DEN, wasn't Rosema the MVP of BAL who won 98 games or Wright was DVS MVP and made the playoffs with similar stats. Or even Ladd in WAS? Award voting is always an interesting conversation - I think it can tell a lot about GMs values.Death Valley Scorpions (2003-Present)

Losing in the wildcard makes us look worse than we were and probably tarnished Rosema's accomplishments a bit.
Even though he did go 4/5 in the game.

Todd Taylor, Zack Reeves, Tadaomi Nashimura all getting hosed in the voting process. Talley was not better than any of those three.

I had Talley 1st on my ballot.
My reasoning is that Talley lead the DL in WAR, FIP, WHIP, OAVG, K/BB, and H/9.
I know there's quite a few ways to look at things, but that combination of domination was important to me, so that's why I chose him.
Voting's silly in this league at times, but I feel like at least those stats give a clear indication of a players worth to his team, relative to the league.
Now, if you want to argue about Rory Gray and Jarrod West getting 1st place votes for New Brew, I'll steer while you drive the hate wagon!
