  • Pawtucket goes for a pair of OF with back to back 4ths. Why? Cuz they were there and my scout digs them both.

Keep an eye especially on Shuan Lowe. Got a good feeling about him.

We really need to remove a certain religion from this earth.

I do realize not all that practice Islam are like this, but for "the better interest of humanity" sometimes you have to make the right call.

Sorry to vent, but If I was president I'd personally go on TV and really piss those people off.

I'm not religious in any way shape or form, but I'm so sick and tired of EXTREMEST taking a religion twisting it into violence.

Sorry Spectre. You've always been a nice guy here.

I've thought by now Earth would be part of the "Federation" and we'd all be Captain Kirk banging green chicks. TV has once again lied to me.

                        • I'm going to ignore that real world argument and post about this draft...

After grabbing C Ed "The Rat" Lehnhoff at 3.16, we go CF Ian Coffey at 3.23. OSA has Coffey at 5-5-3-5-5 and my scout was just above at 6-5-4-6-5. He can play all three CF spots, has solid intangibles, and speed. While his stats weren't great, I think he's still got room to grow.

We take our last two players with 3rd round grades in the 4th round in 3B in JD Harper at 4.15 and JP Knappe at 4.19.

I think Harper may be able to play 2B and my scout thinks he's got star potential at 5-4-6-5-5. His stats match his ratings and he can definitely run. I'd be satisfied with him as a 3B, but think he's a good candidate for 2B.

Knappe is the consolation prize for taking Harper first and watching Lowe and Caponigro head to PAW. I had hoped funclown wouldn't go back to back on OFs. Knappe looks good to my scout at 5-4-6-7-5. Knapp also hit .308 in college and won a Glove Wizard in right. He may turn out better than both, but I think Lowe was the safer pick of the three.

We still have a full board and I expect to add some more guys that may creep onto the Top 100 within the next 2 seasons.

Yeah sorry on those, but I was really surprised both were still there especially Lowe who we rated as a low 2nd/ high 3. Almost forgot about him, not even having him on our board since we were looking at bullpen at the time.

This draft has so many freaken good players it's gonna be interesting to watch which players the game choses to bust.

                              • With the talent coming out of the draft the past couple seasons (and yes its been talented no matter what some people like to think), it may be time to explore that rookie league again.

I already know I'm going to be releasing players that have nice potentials.

We have to remember that the league won't be 7 contact 7 power guys in the top 20 in a few years. It's going to be more like 5 and 6. So that 4 contact guy will have value as a depth player.

Those guys are getting squeezed out in the minors because our BLB rosters are above the game's expected talent level.
