He hit 30 hr as a sophomore and could be the NCAA first 3X Batter of the Year.

And once he fell this far I knew you or Funclown would take him. His risk is easily worth the round drop next year.

Hoping Baase is similar to Bartlolomew. Sits out a year due to injury, comes back strong next season. Couldn't pass up on one of the most talented pitchers in he draft.

He'll be fine. I think he could end up being the steak of the 1st round.

-As a sophomore, D.J. took the college baseball world by storm with an amazing season setting single season batting records in runs (71), total bases (187), home runs (30) and RBI (83) on his way to his first NCAA OH Award in 2012. Gosser, while not nearly as spectacular as a junior, was still good enough in 2013 to repeat as the 2013 award winner.

Fast forward to April 2014, the switch hitting slugger just ended a 21 game hit streak and looks to be a major force for the Sooners again in 2014 and hopefully for the Bulldogs, a few years down the line.

My scout thinks he can pretty good though I view him as no more then a #3 starter eventually.

Were also barren right now in the farm with pitchers. Seems like a good time to start building it back up.

I was shocked he was still there. My scout like him more so than OSA, but I'm excited to see what he becomes. Pretty far along at this point, he'll debut at Double-A.

My scout didn't even have him in his top 50.
Either he's a genius and saw something in DJ that wasn't good, or he'll be looking for work in the offseason. ;)

I went through the draft list in its entirety and got a list of over 60 guys. I'm pretty optimistic about getting a few impact prospects in this draft with the plethora of picks I have remaining

Lots of power available in this draft, I'm curious to see if my strategy pays off, I've got my centerpiece already, If i can pull out a few more guys to be around O'Hearn my already deep system could be reaaaaaaally deep

Probably another one of my stupid theories, but I always believed contact(1B- Jon Montalbo, Todd Robideau, EX)can be learned where power is something you either have or don't.

Again, I have alot of dumb theories.
