This was a tough pick to make. I've been watching Owens for a while. It wasn't an easy decision for me because my scout doesn't seem to like him. I'm relying on OSA here. We are hoping the combination of his high work ethic and our investment in player development will help him achieve those OSA ratings.

With the 2nd pick, The Wilmington Wildcats select Erik "Trucker" Surmeier, RF from the Auburn Trojans.
We've had "Trucker" on our draft board for a few months now. Wasn't sure he would be in this draft class (he was only 16 at the time) but we're glad he is.Brewers League Baseball
