One famous GM used to say, "it is an art,not a science."
Funclown would keep guys in the minors until they were 32 if he could, and I'd promote at 19 if I think he's ready. It's just a personal preference and you can have success either way.
Pawtucket did make small changes with the last crop. We pushed a bit harder this go around. Still slow grow the high schoolers though.

He can't play defense anywhere. Not much use in the IL.

Is the clock actually live? I see Spot was online last night but didn't make a pick. Only about 4 hours left according to the clock.

My scout actually has him rated right around the same as O'Hearn with the only downside being O'Hearn's ability in CF.
I had a few really solid offers for this pick but I really think the quality I get here will be better than later in the round. And with our recent run on pitching I think we need to start looking at getting stronger with our bats.

I like Gil. Slotted by my scout as the #2 pick and #2 hitter, he's got good speed, power, and a discerning eye. He also has very good intangibles. He had a 23 game hit streak last year and was the 2013 CCBL Outstanding Hitter.

He was my other guy with the #4 Overall but as we have Williams almost ready didn't make any sense to draft 2 Top RF

I have my pick more or less ready- I have a trade offer that I need to review when I come back from work. Really excited about my potential pick, think he will be a superstar.
This draft is so much better than some past years and its nice to have impact players here. For example, see the draft where I had to pull the trigger on friggin Ian Daley in the top 5, a guy who will never get out of the minors.
