    He is a good hitter.

He's also a guy whose best full season OPS+ entering last year was 123.

    Then he dropped a 159 OPS+ at age 31.

Unless you put a ton of stock into his success in less than a third of a full season the year before, there wasn't much reason to believe he was capable of his 2013 performance.

He wasn't even hitting anywhere near that well when he was in AAA.
We'll have agree to disagree here.

A very high desire to win and work ethic guy moves to Pawtucket as a lefty and rakes? If he is on a more consistent team earlier or even today's Morgantown at 25, I guarantee he's got a different career.

And I meant no offense, Hank. I'm just saying Morgantown and McLamore had been through some tough times.

LOL, no offense taken. I was just kidding around.
I came onboard in 2009 so I wasn't even there when he first got called up.

His numbers certainly indicate he did better once out of Morgantown.

BLB Players Compete in NCAA Bracketology
            Friday, March 28th, 2014
Before their baseball teams have Opening Day games in the coming week, Wade Brown of the New Orleans Dukes and Mike Sanchez of the Indianapolis Clowns will be following the National Championship game with special interest. Bragging rights within the Brewers League Baseball are on the line. BLB.com invited player representatives from all Brewers League Baseball clubs to fill out brackets before this year's NCAA men's basketball tournament got under way, and from 48 players, it now comes down to 2 players and their brackets.

Brown leads with 91 points but Mike Sanchez isn't far behind with 88 points; no other player was within 20 points. At this point, it is down to who wins between #1 Kentucky vs. # 2 Kansas as both players picked the opposite team to win. "It's not easy being in the top 2 when it started with 48 guys", said Brown. "That being said, it will feel a whole lot better when I win the whole thing."

Mike Sanchez, said of Brown's quote, "Look, he can dream all he wants, but that is all he is doing - dreaming."

As March fades into April, both player's will have a lot lot less time to play around. "Starting in April, I'll get my wins at the ballpark", said a smiling Sanchez. "For now, I'll take a win over Brown and his New Orleans Dukes any way I can get it".

They were close...it was Kentucky vs. UConn.
