I wish our FA market was like the MLB. It's my one complaint about the BLB.

Players aren't aggressive enough to test the open market and GMs know how to sign players at a market discount.

We might want to look at adjusting the salary baselines for the league. I believe there are league settings where you can set the "recommended" salaries for different levels of players.
It seems like the second tier stars are appropriately valued, as evidenced by the annual free agent crop becoming free agents because they're asking for $18 million.
On the other hand, it appears the cream of the crop, Top Players group doesn't ask for nearly enough.
Maybe it would be worth exploring raising the baselines for those players to a number that would make more of them want to test the market—or at least, make it more difficult for teams to retain them on well-below-market contracts.
Any thoughts from veteran OOTP players?Maine Guides

I haven't checked but even ignoring the teams that don't spend, the payrolls are climbing in baseball.
Plus there are a couple teams that have payrolls matching the top two teams in our league.

Never tried it in this version, but previous ones didn't make them "want to test free agency" anymore or less.
Want to know what sucks? Why isn't the "loyal" or "greed" character coming more into play when dealing with this?
Jistic use to tell me half of these features from Marcus are window dressing and more and more there's evidence to support this.
In fact the only character rating that seems to matter is that fucken "desire for winning" thing. Ever go on slide and deal with the moral of one of these idiots?Last edited by funclown; 10-25-2015, 10:01 PM.PAWTUCKET PATRIOTS

I have to agree with Jistic on that one.
I wish the leader ability had some weight too. Personalities would give us a ton more immersion.
