    I don't know.

Washington has been pretty shaky of late. I've got you slated to win the first title of the NEW and IMPROVED Stout.

Is there any rhyme-or-reason to players stealing less bags?
Antonio Ontiveros was 4th in the BLB in 2011 with 32 SB's.

Since then his SB numbers have plummeted despite the fact that his hits are close to the same value.
This year he only has 7. He actually increased that number from 2 only a few weeks ago.

In 2011, he was my lead-off hitter. I'm sure that will play a difference considering he's been batting mostly 8th this season and I think last year he was bumped down from his regular lead-off spot mid-way through the season to hit near the bottom of the order.
Will it make that much of a difference?

Have you modified/tweaked any of your team/player strategy bars over the seasons?

Do you have his strategy setting at full go? Or your team settings if you don't do indy settings?

I rarely have guys steal. Maybe I should more but I'm not sure if it helps or hurts.

I haven't touched any of my settings.
I don't have it set to individual either.

That's what's so odd. Nothing seems to have changed other than his place in the order.
But that must have a lot to do with it. Both Thomas and Douglas are batting 1 & 2 and both are nearing 40 SB's.

Might have to alter his individual strategy to start taking more bags.

I've not studied it, but yeah it would appear lineup placement is the key here? If he's on base and the pitcher is up to bat, maybe the logic doesn't send the runner with two outs (don't want to start the next inning with P at the plate) or the pitcher sacrifices if less than two outs?

                Excellent point.
I'm going to play with the lineup for the last week and see how it plays out.
It'll be a very small sample size, but I'm not playing for anything else anyway. ;)

Attempting to steal bases = only good if its a 100% SB success rate

anything less = caught stealing which = outs you've given away without batting. I do not value SB at all.
