Pawtucket 3 wins away from the franchise record (107 wins 1992)

Did about as well as expected with our 6 man rotation and shuttling some players in and out in our everyday lineup.

If I'm doing my math correctly LF Hidetoshi Haraguchi could be ready by game 4 or 5 in the divisional series coming up against Mai or Syr.

Hopefully we don't get housed right out of the gate. Hidetoshi really has been a pivotal force at the bottom half of our lineup this whole season and missing his presence has hurt.

We're 11-2 in our last 13 games and have only gained 1 game on Pittsburgh. Fun finish.

The end of each season excites me because that means those dumbass contracts ive signed players to are one season closer to expiring.

1-5 for the Wildcats but honestly record doesn't matter anymore. This team is young. Pitching is mediocre. We put a new lineup in place in Sept. full of young talent. Jaylen Johnson, Norm Deiwert, Dave Southerland. All guys called up from AAA who will be in the starting lineup come April. Are they struggling? Sure. Is that normal? Yes. Am i glad they are struggling now and not next year? Yes. Theres too much talent on this team to not compete in a few years. Only time will tell, but I feel good about the future.

Philly is 16-1 in extra innings, 33-15 in 1-run games and +11 PYT.

                  Team of Destiny?

So Oscar Sanchez is out with another back issue. He's fallen off of the Top Players List and this seems to be a recurring issue. I'm not liking this trend. He's going to miss the playoffs.

                    Sigh.

                        Highlight of the week -

Top 9 up 5-4 over Pawtucket. VonEtingshausen comes in and serves up a bomb to Isreal Morales. Tie game.

Gets 3 outs and we move to the bottom of the ninth inning.

In comes the lock for '13 DL Last Call (and will prob garner some Pale ale votes) Diego Lovera, the most dominant reliever in the game. No walks, one homer, he's a 3 out machine.

Into the on deck circle comes Sonny Marshburn, Lonnie Hyde decides that he's the one who will pinch hit to lead off the bottom of the ninth instead of Zhi-Peng Kun, who was 0-3 on the day.

First pitch is taken for ball one.

Second pitch is then deposited into the RF bleachers for a game winning walk off home run by the 41 year old Marshburn. Millers win game 1 of the series.

The second game was pitched by potential DL New Brew, Kayden Walker.....he proceeds to throw a couple game shutout against the best team in the game, scattering 7 hits, striking out 6 and walking none. We lose the final game of the series, but the positive is that we showed that we can hang with the Pats.

                        Big week ahead.
