Talley just won his 20th game! Probably only gets 2 more starts before shutting him down for the playoffs.

For a guy with the "Fragile" tag since drafted he's been a solid rock for us, but I think like to tempt fate.

Our offense actually bounced back after losing 2 key guys. Granted against inferior competition. See how was fare against more advanced teams like Pitt, Maine & Denver coming up.

Its really injury watch from here on out.

I'm pretty sure every deal is a great deal. Whatever changed in '15 has made it ridiculously easy to lowball players.

I just gave them their average want and didn't fool with anything. Super easy.

Big sim for the Bats, as get a 4 game sweep of Wilmington and take 2 of 3 from Morgantown. The 6-1 week pushes our lead over Philadelphia to 3 games, though that's still closer than I'd like them to be.

Pat Verba won Player of the Week for us, hopefully he can finish strong. Our top prospect, Pat Wayman, came up and hit a home run, but was otherwise quiet. We didn't do much offensively as whole, but thankfully the pitching was good.

A difficult week coming up as we hit the road for series against Batavia and Death Valley. Hopefully we'll find a way to stay on top in the Stout.

I know. The game has changed not us. I wonder how it changes things down the road with players much cheaper.

Dave Parkinski asked for 21 million. Now that was a bit crazy so made a super lowball offer, he came back with a much lower offer. I switched up the 1st & 2nd years to be low and done.

Its really not magic, just how this version is.

Something I really wished they did in the next version or 2 is take away the "response" button. You offer him an extension and wait til the next sim to see what the counter is.

Didn't it use to be like this in OOTP 10 or 11????

Millers are still hot. 7-0 taking us to 12-2 in September after a 22-6 month of August.

Major key to the run we've been on?

Since acquiring Sonny Marshburn, and putting him in the leadoff spot, he's hitting .297/.424/.473/.897...since the trade, the Millers are 28-4!

We lose Dave Shook for essentially the rest of the season. Thats a huge loss for us, but we should have enough depth to keep this train rolling...I'm interested to see how much of a loss he is, because while his bat has been tremendous, his defense in RF really hasn't been great. Ty McKay will take over duties as the every day RF in title, but Marshburn, Peller and Leger will mix in to give EB some DH days and to get Griffiths/Castro and Salas in the lineup.

Interesting battle going on between Kayden Walker and David Acre.

**IF** we play a series where more than one pitcher matters, one of them is going to be moved to the pen. Each one of them should have two starts against really good opponents this week so let's see if they separate themselves.

Now we start the stretch from hell....3 with Pawtucket at home, 3 @ Maine, 3 @ LA and 4 @ Indy.

If we can come out of this still playing great baseball, I think we have a real shot to make some noise in the playoffs.

Not sure if it's a bit too early to pimp, but if 'Red' isn't 1st on everyone's DL Last Call Relief ballot as #1 might as well admit you don understand baseball.
