We're really struggling in one-run games.

9-18 record, while Pawtucket is 18-12 in their one-run games.

Normally you'd chalk this poor performance up to a bad bullpen.

However, our bullpen has a 2.96 ERA this year, second-best in the league. I don't think the bullpen is the problem.

    Maybe it's just bad luck.

We comfortably have a wild card spot. It's still disappointing being this far back in the division.

Sometimes its the offense that lets you down. Last year we were ranked #1 in virtually every pitching category much of the season, but when it counted we just couldn't bring in the important runs. Hopefully the moves we made are the reason for our one run games.

Anyway Pawtucket 3-1. Just need to keep rolling.

Not much going on at the BLB level in Wimington, but I like what I see from my picks so far. While 5th overall pick SP Tommy Bartholomew is still on the DL and won't pitch this year, 16th overall pick SP Jimmy Daywalt is 2-0 with a 2.46 ERA through 4 starts. What I really like about him so far is his 32/7 K/BB ratio.

It seems like the presence of 1B Kikuzo Ishakawa has lit a spark under former 11th overall pick C.J. Rueb. Since the draft, Rueb, who was struggling early, has brought his average from .214 to .253, and has doubled his HR production.

Wish we could fast forward to the offseason haha!

Jamie Monson is hitting .395/.412/.864/1.276 vs LHP this year. Which is something but more impressively in my opinion is that his home/road split for OPS is .907/.906.

He's making me feel better about locking him up to a big deal

Great debut of CF Fred Heard in AAA .261 Avg, 1 base stolen and +1.0 ZR!!

1st Round pick RF Jamie Williams is rolling in AA as well... But he wonīt go to AAA until the next year, we donīt have why to rush the things!

2B Tom Wojciechowski is killing the ball as well in A and probably he will be called to AA at the beggining of the next year, as this year is almost done in the minors.

Cinelli and Contreras are ready for AA, another next yearīs call
