        This was the game, no?

Somehow, the ASG was played on the 9th of July. In the middle of the season. During games. Or after. Maybe before. I'd like the commissioners to explain why they are trying to injure our players.

Israel Morales might be the first person in league history to pick up a hit for his team on the same day he picked up a hit for the All Star Team. And they were doubles.

The Dinos Erik Poole pitched an inning of relief against Indianapolis and then flew over to Washington to throw an inning in the All-Star Game!

DJ Palmer of Baltimore did the same, starting for the IL (why?), but he was already in Baltimore. Less distance traveled.

Batavia's Jarod Goldberg gave up three runs, getting no one out, against Death Valley while in up-state New York and then caught a jet over to the Nation's Capitol to throw 3 innings.

            Pretty eventful day.

Maybe that's why the Millers were so poorly represented.

Although I think this might be another year like last year where Bafford doesn't make the all star team yet still wins Stout Slugger. .342/.407/.595 just mashing.

You gotta love when your pitcher helps out his own cause with a big fly as seen below in our 11-4 win over Philly.

                Batting: LHB Dave Sanders
                ---0-0: Foul Ball, location: 2F
                ---0-1: Ground out U3 (Groundball, 3S)

                Batting: RHB David Santoyo
                ---0-0: Ball
                ---1-0: Called Strike
                ---1-1: Called Strike
                ---1-2: Ball
                ---2-2: DOUBLE (Line Drive, 78M)

                Batting: LHB Mitsuharu Kuramoto
                ---0-0: Ball
                ---1-0: Fly out, F9 (Flyball, 9M)

                Batting: SHB Roberto Crespin
                ---0-0: Intentional Walk

                Batting: LHB Todd Taylor
                ---0-0: 3-RUN HOME RUN (Flyball, 8LXD), Distance : 455 ft
So that got me in research mode and I love a good trivia opportunity.

WHAT PITCHER (ACTIVE OR RETIRED) LEADS THE BLB IN CAREER HOME RUNS?

Come on; let's get our facts straight. That was an 11-4 win over Philly.

Wow, a 1st pitch, 455 ft HR to CF after an IBB to go after the pitcher.

I wish the game would listen to my All Star logos and have the game in the same place.

18 years after making his lone All-Star team, Angelo Gonzales is still pitching.

                        I love it.
