Pawtucket 4-2. Left one game on the table against DV, but overall nothing to complain about.

Pitching has been a bit off, but I'd imagine this eventually becomes water finding its level.

Decent month overall heading into late June.

Denver: 24-25 before trading McPhenom, 13-6 since and only 5.5 behind the Dinos.

      I'm just sayin'.

DiNardo in his 1st AA start threw a 10 inning no hitter. Interesting.

In the first week of my triumphant return, I have turned this team into winners, as we went 4-2.

Millers had a good week. 5-1 and take over sole possession of first by an insurmountable lead of ..... A half a game. Yep. We're in a steel cage match with the Slammers who've OWNED us this year. Big series in the Cuse this weekend, with Hightower/Brooks/Acre/Syversten scheduled to throw. Big time baseball in the Pilsner.

We lose Griffiths for a few months but Ethan Bafford returns and tunes up IL pitching to a line of .458 with 3 bombs and 10 Ribbies on his way to DL player of the week.

There's some really nice things going on down on the farm, the most asked about prospect for trade in my system Ron Bynum leads the way in AA this year pitching extremely well. 2.88 ERA and a FIP around 2.16. He's really been impressive. Took him a bit to find his groove in AA but he's responded well. Speaking of responding, Ted Kessler, 2010 3rd round pick and #16 Prospect in the BLB struggled early in A ball, numberically. Had a .446 BAPIP and a 5.79 ERA...but his strike out numbers were so impressive as they usually are. So I thought he'd respond to a challenge of moving up to AA and he's done exactly that. His numbers for the year are 5-1 with a 3.52 ERA but his month of June in AA has been outstanding - 4-0 with a 1.69 ERA and in 26.2 IP he's got a 33/6 BB/K.

The millers sit comfortably in 5th overall in the rankings of top Systems with a few high end arms and undervalued bats.

Looking forward to the present and the future!

Despite what might seem like the compete opposite, trading those names away was not a white flag. I really do think it makes my team better.

Call me crazy but you've probably already considered that I am.

Perkins has also been injured for LA. Seems as though Denver has reacted well to the personel changes. #teamchemsitry

Haha, I honestly thought he was going to be a good player. I just looked up that deal, doesn't look like that worked out too great for either of us.

That said, my one disappointment with this Washington team is I don't have a bunch of top 100 prospects to obsess over like my old Tobs. I'll have to work on that.

But, if Phillips was still in the game, I'd take him. He can join forces with Al Hamilton on my AAA squad, a kind of retirement home for my ex-players.
