  • Ah, I had Dicks on my list, looks like I missed out. It would've been hard not taking Dicks if he was available to me at the rear of the third round. Dicks just seems like a solid get for me, but I guess that hole in our organization will go unfilled. Our area scout has been following Dicks since he was in Pee Wee League, and he's been telling us about him for years. Dicks this, and Dicks that. Can't get Dicks out of his mouth, that guy. Thinks Dicks has only reached the tip of his ability, but once he taps the depth of his true talent, he's gonna be a handful for opposing pitchers. There is a fear that as he fills out he may become too girthy, but I think with the right conditioning program, he won't get spent too quickly.

    Penis.

That was a rather lengthy dick joke.

      I like it.

        • The Bulldogs' traded away a future 2nd round selection to get a 3rd next year and this year's 3.11.

With the 59th selection in the draft, Baltimore selects:

Tom Perry, a 20 year old shortstop from Stanford. Perry is a do-it-all player who can play both in the infield and the outfield with good speed and power. I really like this guy and he's not too far away from being ready for the league, according to our scouts.

With the 60th selection in the draft, Baltimore selects:

Jayden McBride, a 17 year old outfielder from Eli Whitney High. Jayden doesn't look like much according to OSA, but our scouts say he has elite power and eye potential. Being that he fell this far I'm guessing our scouts are probably wrong, but that's not a chance I was willing to take.

            • Just an FYI, the draftees get entered next sim.

We gotta get a move on if the sim is going to be on time.

                • Wow, can't believe SS Chris Avison slipped this far.

5-4-6-5-6 POT. Probably best at 2B and maybe a poor mans 3B.

Looking at the draft, seems since middle 2nd round there was a huge reach for arms. Works for me. Love round 3

Wow this game is not kidding with the differences in scouting.

                    Avision was 2-2-3-6-5...

                    • I think this version really went back to the old versions of scouting. We devote 40% of our scouting to the draft so we just have to trust him. That and his stats seem to suggest his contact is at least solid.

                      • Clock didn't stop and autoed us.

To clarify, it autoed my third round pick and then continued through my fourth. I checked last night after 9 pm and we were picks away from my own. It's 7 am EST now.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding how the clock works?

I devoted 60% of my budget to scouting the draft and I don't have any of these guys on my list. My 3rd round pick OF Tommy Roden was somebody that I was considering drafting in the 1st round.

Matt jinxed it because he said it was running smoothly. Clearly the clock didn't stop last night when I turned it off (you can't trust the utility to manage the time even though there are settings for start and stop time).

                            Give me a second.
