Not of the "DC mold" and I don't really have a plan for him defensively...but my scout thinks he has the best power and eye potential in the entire drat. Plus, his high school stats are out of this world.

    Next up:
    1.8 - Hartford
    1.9 - California
    1.10 - Morgantown

Washington doesn't pick again until 5.6. See you guys in a few days!
My guy had him with the 8 power and from memory 5-4-8-4-5. It was a strange combo but got to like his 8.

My scout has him at 4-7-8-5-4.
When the draft class was first made public, I had JR Rhoads, Jimmy Lee and one other prospect (who is still available), as the guys I thought had an outside chance to slip to #17. However, the draft through six picks had gone almost exactly how my scout listed it, outside of Lee, whom I also was very high on. According to my scout's list, Rhoads is #6.

I think he might have lasted a few more picks but I don't know if those teams (HAR, CAL, MOR, WC) would have been looking to move down. And after Lee went off the board I got trigger happy. It's a gamble but I wasn't sure of who would be around at #17 and #20 that I thought were safe picks.

My scout has Rhoads 5-4-8-7-4 and thinks if he stays healthy he could end up in the Hall of Fame. His stats are up there with Ethan Bafford's HS numbers. Of course, Bafford can field and run too, but I like the comparison at least when they are at the plate.

He's a RH pull hitter. At his high school park, the fence down the line is 342 FT and left field 381 and left-center 429. In DC the park is 329, 343 and 380.

I guess we will find out in about 5-6 years if it was worth it.

More like OSA. My scout says 2-7-8-4-4. But mind you I only have like 5M in scouting.

He'll mash, but I'm surprised Pat moved up to get him. No defense and no intangibles, but I'm a fan of trusting your scout if you've got the cash invested.

I have less than you in scouting but I trust the stats more than my scout.

Best case: I just drafted the right-handed Ethan Bafford, without the speed and defense.

Worst case: I just drafted the right-handed Stephen Alexander, and New Orleans gets two good players with #17 and #20.

Hartford nailed that pick. I was trying to trade up to get Aguirre.

So glad he was still there. Thought for sure he would be gone.

Reminds me more of prime Henry Rodriques than anything else, if your best case scenario is accurate.

Still have one more top tier name on my board.

Edit: Make that 2. One arm, one bat.

Pat, thanks for your response. It was definitely helpful. Hopefully I don't screw this up too badly.

Liking the Tom McGee pick for California. He was my pick if Aguirre was off the board.
