Not really sure what is going on right now in Wilmington. We knew we weren't going to have a good year but damn this is brutal. 0-7 this sim, 4 wins on the year.

There are a few bright spots I suppose, if you are a glass half full kind of guy. RF Dave Monks, after starting the year in AAA, took IL rookie of the month honors for April. Currently hitting .296 with 2 HRs and 10 RBIs. The Machine, after the move to 1B this offseason, is hitting a nice .311 early on this season. It's good to see Buffalo Bob Carrillo having a decent start to the year. Struggling in his last start but overall he has been one of the aces of this struggling rotation.

I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on with Wade Brown. This guy has so much potential but he just can't get it going this year.

        Down on the farm

C Norm Deiwert, after starting the year hitting .333 with 6 HRs and 18 RBIs in AA, earned a promotion to AAA. SS Jaylen Johnson isn't too far behind, currently hitting .321 with 4 HRs and 16 RBIs in AA right now.

LF Dave Southerland could make his BLB debut this season if things don't change. He is currently hitting .305 with 3 HRs and 24 RBIs right now in AAA.

I don't want to rush anyone to the bigs and ruin their development, but if a fire isn't lit under the Wildcats ass soon, there might be a shakeup.

well I guess I fucked with my team too much this offseason. Damn shame Jistic isn't here to see his playboys back to sweeping me.

5-1 with the lone loss being a one-run affair in Chicago. No additional injuries, thankfully.

Leading the Ale by two games!

William Kroll re-signed on a contract that is good for the team.

Einstein Molinar starting hitting a little. Waiting it out. He's day-to-day and we might let him sit on the DL and work things out in the meantime. Probably just let him play.

Time to celebrate a few (fake) bullpen guys I feel proud of.

Jarod Davidson. The bulky, 5'11", 230 lb reliever known as Sunshine. We acquired him eight seasons ago in the trade that sent the long-retired Migdonio Manhos to Death Valley. Sunshine posted a few promising seasons with us, so we signed him to a long-term extension. Then the last two years he posted 6.41 and 5.07 ERAs. But we held faith in him. So far this year at age 30, he threw 12 scoreless innings. No runs allowed yet. More than a strikeout an inning. Only four walks.

B.J. Carpenter. The failed starter in Indianapolis, Washington, and Hartford came to Maine after last season and joined the pen for 2013. Eight scoreless innings. Walks in check.

Finally, Dave Jorgenson. The flame-throwing journeyman is striking out two batters an inning here at age 34. Good for him.

Sorry, guys. Not sure why utility didn't update. I just noticed when trying to access them myself to see what happened in today's SIM.

Missed an export...1st time in a long time. Sorry for the DFA.

3-4 week with two 1-run losses. We're a 85 win team is it is though so what's it matter.

Win a bunch of games in a row, get your doors blown off. Win some games, get embarrassed. The teeter tottering continues. Another injury to an arm! Yikes!

Jarrod Syversten has allowed 1 run in his last 16 IP.

This weeks "call to arms" update for the millers- Willis "I'm still around and throw 99 but that's about it" Guardian has been effective in the pen so far but he's gonna be forced into a starting role for 1-2 starts now.

I think I've had a personal breakthrough, as I was able to convert my shortlist to a *.csv file and think I will be able to finally upload the names into the draft war room instead of doing it manually. So that's cool.

Another rough week ahead, but hey we sucked last week so we're prob due for a good one.

                              Ugh.

0-4 @ Philly, including a 12th inning revenge PH HR 1-0 win by former Bat Manny Saens. I really think there is something to the whole "playing good against former teams." Luckily, DC bounced back going 2-1 @ Pitt.

Injury bug struck and will now be without LH RP specialist Armando Fuentes for the next 3-4 months due to shoulder inflammation.
