2013 REGULAR SEASON SIM 2 Complete - Next SIM Sun 8/30

5-1 and I like to see us winning the games we are *supposed* to win.

Chiba is really impressing me. I really thought his career might be done but he's still putting up numbers. The injuries may have sapped his strength but as far as contact ability, I think he's still got it.

Also converted starter, DJ Palmer has looked good in the closer role in the first two weeks. I know it's a small sample size, but he is looking good in the role so far.

It feels strange to play Washington as a divisional foe. Time to see where we really stand early in our first Stout race.

Pretty impressed with the draft class at first look.
Picks 1-3 should be what my scout has though I would make the 2nd guy in the list the top pick. It's picks 4-9 where it might get crazy. I don't see the order holding.

Right now Pawtucket sits at 5 and though I'd be happy with the projected pick really having a hard time choosing between 4 players right now.

We are average. OOTP 15 isn't a big fan of my teams. Or, any other version. We'll win 90, get bounced in the playoffs early.

I've been thinking the same thing about the second guy. My thought is your scout and mine have the top 3 in the same order.

              And now...the new divisional games.

              3 vs. BAL, 3 vs. WIL, 4 @ Philly

              This should be fun.

LA 5-1 against the Lager newbies. The pitching was outstanding against a Denver team that I (quietly thought) might be the ones to knock me off my throne. Erik Poole continues to surprise me with his bullpen performance. A converted SP that just gets it in the BP. Definitely not a long term solution, (he's never been healthy for a whole season) but might hold us in a platoon effort. LOTS OF BASEBALL LEFT.

                Denver....Dallas.... Welcome to the Lager!

Pawtucket on a 10 game road trip after starting the season on the road for 7?

What the fuck type of scheduling is this? Hope to go 5-5. Interest test coming.

My roster has underperformed for two years now. Just accepting it at this point and keeping it moving.

Still early so we will see. But I know how this story goes. The sims Aten pitches like himself, the other four will pitch disgustingly bad. The sims 3 or 4 pitchers pitch as they should, my offense will shit the bed.

It's a boring story but casual fans like knowing what's going to happen next.

To be fair to your guys, you have a lot of inexperienced guys out there. 20 of the 25 on your active roster has 7 years or less of BLB experience.

Plus its just two weeks in and you've made a lot of FA acquisitions. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't really see dividends until after maybe July/August and then it all comes together next year.

It's all a multi year plan with these acquisitions.

Not upset about the first two weeks. I shrug and move on.

Jamie McPherson was the batter of the week for Denver. He hit .417 with 2 home runs and 5 RBI. He's looking to return to Stout Slugger form.

Robby Aten was our pitcher of the week. The off season signing took a loss into the 7th, surrendering two runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2 hitters. A second consecutive solid outing after a horrid opening day.
