I tried in the offseason but could never get his salary down far enough and had to move on.

Wasn't a big fan of him at the end. At the time he wanted 10 million per and his production didn't justify keeping him. Now my scout shows a contact hit.

With all the bats we surrounded him with he should of performed better. Plus his D is average at best.

Guy can play. Never got us over the top, but we did get 2 DL flags with him.

A throw in to the Moon and Mireless deal. Good trade there also brought me McCrory in that draft whom I still have high hopes for.

Guides center fielder Nelson Herrera won DL Player of the Week.

Previously he was best known for leading the league in stolen bases last year as well as for Carolina's attempt to convert him into a speedy left-handed catching prospect.

now that is a trade where I went bust on the draft picks.

You did, but in fairness, your organization was loaded with quality outfielders. You took what you could get.

Infielders that expect middle of the lineup are rare.

Sure, but there's enough OFers, 1B, C, today that can do the job. 5 spots right there plus the DH and you can trickle the rest back of the lineup and for far cheaper.

I get what your saying, but Play good defense in the IF and I'm good.

Starters threw well. Fajardo with 12 Ks per game over 2 starts. Offense is sluggish.
