Pawtucket fared well on our 7 game road trip.

      5-2 sim; 2-1 vs. Batavia, 3-1 @ Windy City

Star of the sim: SP Tom "Rascal" Garton with a 4-0 shutout: 9 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K. The 26-year-old rookie got just four September starts last year and is looking to make his mark in his first full BLB season. The expectation is for him to fill the #2 RPSP role left by CL Troy Martin's move to the closer role.

Injured: SS Rogelo Martinez, the Brewmaster's hero himself, will miss the next week+ with a inter-coastal strain. The injury will force him to miss the next two weeks of play as he heads to the 14-day DL. He will be replaced on the 25-man roster by recent signee SS Tyler Dahmen.

A good start out of the gate for the Brawlers, going 6-1. You did mean Friday, 8/28/15 right?

ST is overrated. BAT's Diego Flores took exactly zero swings during spring training and wins IL player of the week in SIM1. I guess he needed 1 game to shake off the rust, going 0-4 with 3 K's opening day.

That's one hell of a deal Batavia got him for too.

He was asking something in the $12M+ per, five year range at the end of last season.

2013 REGULAR SEASON SIM 1 Complete - Next SIM Fri 8/28

3-3 and although we started slow, we picked up the pace against the Tobs.

A interesting start for 31 year old, Tommy Tipsword (dad was a porn star obviously) who went 8/21 for .381 average in his 5 starts last week. Very encouraging.

Also, I was a little worried about how fallen star, Terumoto Chiba would fair and he's done well. We are stuck with his massive contract which ironically, looked awesome when I signed it. He is just a shell of his former self, but that shell was still able to post a .353 average and .801 OPS. If he does that for the next 5 years, I'll be happy.

With Tamieke going down with an injury in spring training, former Denver hurler, Oscar Gaxiola got the start he's been begging for. He really didn't do badly at all, earning the win with 7 IP, 5 K 2 BB. We may be rolling with 6 guys in the rotation this year if he keeps that up.

Next week we face Los Alamos and California, two teams that started out slowly. We hope they continue that trend so that we don't fall too far behind Washington and Philly early on.

I think Tipsword could be a good ballplayer. I thought it was a good add-in you made in our trade. Picked him up off waivers last year and he did well. He got jerked around in Pitt and Dallas. He needs a permanent home.

5-1 week to start the year. Good play has carried over from spring training...nice to see Robby Castro picking up where he left off last year before tearing his ACL.

4 vs Ny and 3 @ Paw this week

Gaxiola will probably be consistent for you because my former pitchers always seem to perform just fine in the IL.

I think the Sunday game in Pawtucket should be the ESPN game of the week

3-3 start for Dallas, 2-1 @ New York, 1-2 vs Pawtucket

Our Pitchers played a very strong starts, all but Angulo and in the relief Ferguson, we both expect to be back to shape soon. Our hitters can do it better too. Time to get back to season-shape guys!
