Maxence Claveau will miss the entire 2013 campaign while he undergoes Tommy John surgery. Good thing we signed Romo and Mattison.

We signed Twinkle Toes Alvarez, who would have been a free agent this offseason, to a five-year, $55-million contract extension. He enters the season as the #4 starter. Though he always holds a back-end rotation spot for us, he deserves the money and probable moves up in the rotation over the next few seasons as other pitchers leave or retire.

Still trying to add one or two more players.

Washington goes 7-5 with no injuries. Will take that any Spring Training. The new Stout performed the best of all BLB divisions, with all four teams .500 or better. Could be a sign of things to come.

In injury news, besides Claveau, the biggest loser has to be Windy City after Richard Velasquez was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff. What a nice welcome to the BLB for the new guy!

Some interesting ST battles playing out for us. We have a deep roster, so if you need a starter or role player (IF, C, OF, SP and closer) let's talk.

Nobody really stepped up during this first season for the #5 of the rotation, our IF hitted really well but our OF was rubbish at the bat, Robby Rodriguez who we are taking an extra eye this ST struggled the first two starts but was much better in his 3rd one, letīs see how he performs the next 2 in order to get the #5 spot....

All the buzz in Washington is about P Troy Martin's Spring Training experiment as a closer. Martin, who lead all BLB SPs in ERA last year prior to tearing his labrum on October 2nd, has been a starter his entire baseball career. After budget cuts were made, declining CL David "The Sheriff" Rodriguez's team option, a void was left at closer.

                So far in Spring: 1-0, 2 SV, 2.25 ERA, BB, 9 K, 1.12 WHIP

                The BLB John Smoltz?

Pawtucket 10-2 with guys rotating everywhere. We look ready to go.

Talley will assume his yearly spring emergency starter spot the rest of spring. Picked up some AAAA past sim.

Let's get to the regular season healthy.

Not much going on in Wilmington at the moment. A few young guys are getting some time in spring right now. Amyot has a couple of hits including a HR and a Double in his limited ABs, although he won't be seeing the bigs until at least next season. Legers move to 1B seems to be going well as he is hitting .375 with a .913 OPS through the first 2 weeks, so that's refreshing. Honestly, after the season we had last year, very few guys are guaranteed a spot on the big league roster. The last 2 weeks of spring could be very telling for this young ball club.

Surprisingly Iīve money for Extensions which doesnīt appear in the Front Office, but yes when I select a player, we will extend Vonada for 3 more years with an average of $8M p/y and quite a lot more money in incentives... Heīs asking for 1 Year for $10M... But obviously he has a few more fuel left in the tank when he just turn into his 30...

Do we have any Top-5 salaries per position or something like this?? Itīs hard to quantify how much value one player does have...

You could sort the all players list.

                          Damn, good point...

Time to sleep tho, file is uploaded, don't know if an All-Pro and one of the best 3Bs in the BLB is going to be Overpaid if he signs that 3 yr $8M p/y extension... Or if it's a good bargain... Thoughts??
