I wonder if his demands were lowered because the CASH in our deal reduced his current salary to $1M and now he's only looking for a 'slight' increase of $4M to $10M?

When we first made our trade he wanted 22million for 8 years so thats a no. Kind of watched sim by sim, but once the preseason started his demands were cut in half. We of course still thought he was being unreasonable so after some negotiating it was noticed he was really big on the player option and the Stout Slugger bonus.

Last season extending some guys they were wanting the money front loaded. This season its all about the back end.(See Talley and Dave P) Not sure why.

In the end we have locked up just about all core players and having them all stagger back and forth is really a plus.

We do have two SIMs now to enjoy all of our 40 Roster spaces during ST, don´t we?

Then for Thursday´s SIM we will have to Trim down the Active Roster to 25 and we will have to demote our Minor League Players to don´t get that professional contract. Am I right? Or will we have to send them down for Tuesday´s SIM?

It's suggesting more that it won't be so top heavy, I'd say. That doesn't necessarily mean suck.

Yawn. I feel the same way. This is becoming the trend in Washington.

Definitely a lot of Free-Agent talent left... a lot that have lowered their demands considerably.

Looking at the preseason predictions in the Ale ands it's funny to see Maine, Pitt and our projections.

Just thinking UMD came from the Ale also (projected to win the Porter).

                          Dear god. Crazy.
