Maine signed former Duke Fred Mattison to close games. With a back three of Mattison, the recently signed Antonio Romo, and last year's closer Maxence Claveau, our bullpen looks talented and complete.

Maybe one more major piece to sign...

Hum...why is every FA interested in Washington? Ah that's right...Pat offers them all Minor League Deals in hopes one bites.

Just remember he doesn't have 6 rings because he's better that you...he has 6 rings because he games the game better than you.

It's just cosmetic. No player expecting a major league deal is going to sign it.

But you're right. I have six rings because I'm the best at offering minor league deals.

4 more signings but we still not having any coin free to spend on Major League Deals

When will I have my money free?? I am now green $22 Millions on the season, and a projected balance of red $-8 millions after finished the last year with over $-22 millions

Damn I need money for extensions this year if I don´t want to loose Roberto Ortega, fortunately next year I should have plenty money to play with.

I would guess after this season. Your franchise is still working to recoup the cash deficit.

I think you're doing the right thing so far. Ride it out with the team you have now and strike next offseason.

Newborns don't count as part of the family yet.

No it's a combination of several factors. It's like Ben was at FOF. When you game the game in multiple areas you get an advantage. Team options to sign FA's and keep what you had cheap was probably the biggest...you were the originator. After we killed that it took you a while to get back in the swing of things. Or little things...like putting your scouting and development to $0 so you can sign FA's and extend players...then build it back up. Legal...yes...but it's gaming the game. If there is a way to find the slightest advantage you find it...and over time those advantages build up.

Do I care...no. I don't want to win anymore because it's bad for the commish to win. Do I watch you like a hawk though...yes.

I'm very curious to know what the standard behavior is across the league for the scouting and player development budgets. I've never had a feel for what most general managers do with those funds.

I feel so guilty right now.

You guys are going to be really strong again this season.

As of now, with what I think the guides have done and what they will close the offseason by doing...I think they are team to beat in the ALE. Even with Pawtuckets major additions I think the Guides are just so strong everywhere. They have no weakness.

They signed every single guy I was targeting this off-season.

I appreciate the kind words from you and Delandis.

I waffle on the subject. Yes, we added quality players. But we lost maybe the two of our best players, Aten and Marshburn, while Pawtucket brought in two elite talents.

It will be another fun year in the Ale.

Lowest I've gone for scouting I think is $500,000 or $1,000,000. Having '0' is bush league - bring this to vote!

Now that I'm rebuilding, I've jacked up both.
