I didn't realize this league was a "commitment" that overtook possible real life events. Last I looked we weren't getting paid for this, and it was supposed to be a fun thing to do on the side. The forum based draft was decided only a few days ago, and some guys may not have had time to build a board.

I say make the draft for Tuesday. This gives people 4 days to prepare. If they aren't in the draft, then their picks are autopicks. We can keep doing the forum draft to get as many picks done before then as possible. There, problem solved.

And that's exactly what I said. Your commitment is this, if you have time enough to logon to the internet and check you email, you have time to tend to your league duties. It's funny how these "real life events" never happen when people are signing up for these things.

If you feel that people should just get to it when they feel like becuause of all of these "real life" events then this probably isn't the league to be in.

Or if that is the type of direction we're going in, then it's not for me.

All I am saying is you guys are taking this way too serious. Obviously, if you're going to be in this league, you should be able to export your team for each sim, or at least not miss more than a couple every so often. But you're getting on guys during a time when we can't continue our league, and we're doing a league forum based draft to kill time. Obviously everyone would of liked this online draft to have happened, and for the forum one to have gone faster, but it didn't, and you know what, we're in the same place we basically would have been in if we were in round 2, aka dead in the water.

So basically, everyone sit back and breathe a little, and get some fresh air.

Anyway, Cam I think it's a fine idea to do the draft in chat on Tuesday. Any picks we get before that is a bonus. That way people that can't make it can submit lists so we can get it done.

Let's just hope that Markus and Co. get it done on their end.

If any of you can't commit enough to the league to have a backup modem (in case your internet connect is lost), a raid system so that you have a full software back-up (in case your machine takes a dump), a living will (in case your incapacitated or vegetative and it's your pick, the executor of your estate can make your selection), then maybe this isn't the league for you.

I don't have a preference either way, but am just curious. If anything, I suspect dragging the draft out a bit would help maintain interest as we wait for the league to resume again.
