Ah man, that Estes injury is a bummer. Three up on Dallas, but we're really going to miss that defense in center.

Jonathon Morales will get the remainder of the season to prove he can fill the role. He wasn't very good in Triple A, but in extremely limited duty in Indy, he's been pretty decent.

A huge bummer but what a great Free-Agent signing. $17M is a lot, he was the 12th highest paid player in the BLB this year but he was worth it. He was the 2nd best defensive CF this year behind Maine's Nelson Herrera. He also had a pretty good year with the bat setting career highs in doubles (28) and stolen bases (21).

Morales is the CF of the future and really your only option for this week and the potential post-season. Welcome to the big leagues kid.

        Trial by fire for sure.

Estes has a team option for next year that we'll decline, but I couldn't be happier with what he did for us this season. Maybe we'll see what he'd take for an extension after we decline, but he'll probably want the world.

I wouldn't be so sure. I declined Pat Ladd's $18M team option for 2012 and his 2013 team option for $19M, he then re-signed for three years at $15M per, with the last being a team option in 2014.

This year I have a $16M team option on OF Manny Reyes that I will decline. When I ask him what he wants on an extension, he asks for just three years at $6M. Now I know that would guarantee his 2013 $16M salary but I wouldn't be surprised if that's all he is looking for after I decline the option anyways.

          It's worth a look.

Oh for sure. Same with Manning. Hate to let him go, but no chance in hell I can justify a $20MM closer. We'll see.
