The guy was hitting .365 at AAA when Tom first called him up. I don't agree he was rushed.

And he hit the shit out of the ball at all those other levels, and when he was sent back down to AAA in 2010, 2011, and 2012, he continued to crush the ball down there.

Wilmington went 49-113 in 2007 (worst in franchise history) to get the #1 pick in 2008. At the time of the draft OSA had his potential 8/7/4. Leger hit 97 homeruns in just 200 collegiate games. Never had a collegiate injury and until this season his longest injury post-draft was three days. He has Very High Intelligence and Very High Work Ethic, so his development probably would have been smooth. However, he also has a Very High desire for winning. That next season they went 66-96, finishing 36 games back in the Stout...Who would be in such a rush to get your best prospect to come around in years immediately on a team going nowhere?

He skipped Single-A entirely, then got 30 games at Double-A then Triple-A before making the show. In 2009, Leger hit .287 but just 9 HRs, 17 walks and 120 strikeouts. I'm sure since 2009, Leger has been Angry about his and the teams performance.

I know we all make mistakes. Too soon, too early. But I've never had a player skip Single-A nor have had a prospect reach Triple-A in their post-draft season, let alone the BLB. If he was a DC product he probably doesn't debut until 2011.

I have. Multiple times.

Voodoo Davila played 13 games at Single-A before being promoted to Triple-AAA after being drafted. He was in the bigs the next year after a total of 102 minor league games.

He turned out okay I guess.

Twinkle Toes Alvarez also pitched at Triple-AAA in his first professional season as a 17 year old. Only three games at Single-A. Again, made the majors the next year.

Also ended alright.

My issue was when you looked at his POT versus actual his only rating developed was his contact. I remember he was +3 off on his power. Take away all that, why rush him if your least 2+ seasons away from competing?

With that.. Some guys jus bomb. All I know was Talley was sitting at number 2 and haven't looked back. A lot thought 'Crabman' should of gone 1. Will he even make the BLB?

Added a chunk of coaches to my minor leagues who should help to develop our future player in this rebuilding process... Far from get the Coaches that I really want in all my categories but itīs an upgrade in 4 of them... See what the final of the season brings to us

Wildcats showed some life a few weeks back but have had 2-4, 2-4, and 1-5 since. Leger has been one of the rocks for the Cats recently. Hitting a solid .290 this year and holding down RF. I guess it's a matter of opinion as to if he was rushed or not, I had no control over it so it really doesn't matter to me. What matters is that he is a central figure in the bright future of this organization. And he is arbitration eligible this year so that should be fun!

The skipping level thing doesn't bother us either least at the A ball level.

My guess is that Tom saw his contact tipping the scales and thought that his power would follow shortly thereafter.

It's not as unorthodox as it is being made out to be. Again look at Loren Wallace's promotion history. It's is very similar.

It just didn't work out for Leger.
