As Pat stated the Wildcats are 12-3 in their last 15 games. Pretty good sim for the Cats the last 2 weeks with Willie Rosales (1B) winning Star of the week last week (13-29, 5 HR's, 11 RBI's, 6 Runs Scored), and the team going 5-1 this week with a home sweep of California and taking 2 of 3 on the road from Batavia.

On 7/31, 25 year old Right Fielder Joey Leger went 5-5 while 25 year old Starter DeAndre Booth tossed 8 innings of 1 run ball in his 3rd Major League start.

In his next start against Batavia on 8/5, Booth threw a 2 hit CG shutout to improve to 3-1 in his first go at the big leagues.

Obviously a playoff push is out of the question this year, but it is fun to see what this young team is capable of.

How did Dave Teel (http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...ayer_4165.html) not qualify for the draft and just become a free agent lol?

Hell of a pick up Jistic, but damn he'd prob have gone top 5 this draft...UDFA becomes a top 20 prospect, never seen anything quite like it.

        That is an excellent question.

Just more OOTP bullshit. New players are added post draft for the filler leagues. Never seen this happen but it's a huge issue. Of course it's been exploited instead of reported.

          I'm tired of this game.

4-3 and thanks to a little help from friends we have a little breathing room in the Porter with a 6.5 game lead on Batavia and 7.5 over California. Nothing insurmountable or anything, but a little wiggle room for a bad week or two down the stretch.

You don't normally only win 4 of 7 when your team tosses a 2.32 ERA for the week, but the Scorpions pitching was on fire as well and they just made fewer mistakes.

We picked up both the IL BOM and IL POM with Todd Taylor (SP) and Jimmy Jones (OF) winning, respectively. Todd Taylor has been the real deal these last couple of years and is a real contender for the Pale Ale this season. We haven't had a such dominant pitcher like this since Gil O'Moore made a pit stop here.

On the other hand Jimmy Jones, a 3-time SS winner, has found new life in Baltimore. I don't think he ever lost it, just got a little jaded when SOMEBODY tried to force him to play third base. :) 62 RBI while hitting #2 is pretty freaking insane.

We continue our gauntlet of August with 3 away to Davenport and another 3 away with the defending champs. This could get ugly and is why I'm happy to have that cushion atop the Porter.

After this week, it is quite possible (or maybe even likely) that the lead could evaporate rather quickly.

That's bizarre- he would have been a top 5 pick easily. This should be addressed so this doesn't happen again. In the future if this happens, it should be open bidding by all owners. I would have made a major league offer for this dude if it meant getting him!

6-0 week versus Maine and Hartford, giving us a 3 1/2 game lead on Dallas, and a bit more breathing room between us and any run Syracuse and Denver may muster.

He signed a week before the draft and was released by the Owls too early.

                              Probably a bug.
