On a similar note, the disparity in win totals between pitchers who debuted in 1978 versus later guys is huge. We need to start factoring it into HOF voting.
Active wins leaders and their ages:
196—Jamie Herberholz (39)
188—Fernando Hernandez (35)
178—Jody Richards (38)
167—Alex Mejia (37)
165—Travis Fisher (37)
164—Jamie Thomas (33)
151—Edgar Mejia (34)
If we continue holding out for pitchers with 200-250 career wins, no one will be enshrined. Even accumulating 150 wins is a major achievement in this league.Maine Guides

Even without the record IMO he's the greatest strikeout pitcher of all time. The company he is in are all the old school 70's pitchers.
Put in context, what pitchers like Herberholz and Hernandez achieve is more impressive.Maine Guides

Our minor league teams started the season terribly this year.
After the draft, I reorganized our clubs and tried new personnel strategies, especially at the lower levels.
I'm especially pleased with our A-ball club, considering I believe guys develop better when the team plays well.
