    We. Are. A. Mess.

Good time to not have your own first round pick. This is why I always said I would stop trading picks. Maybe this time I will learn to just stop doing it.

4-2 week on the road against the top two clubs in the Pilsner. I'll take it.

Still trying to find an infield combination that works.

Tom Bell managed to lose 3 games all by himself this week. He's lucky he's one of my favorite players.

We are still looking for a #3/#4 type starter and if anyone is interested in Danny Salcedo let me know.

I'm not getting too excited about it....yet

Pawtucket 4-2. 10 game winning streak snapped by a mediocre Sryacuse squad. Either way , were in a nice stalking position and 1B Hidetoshi Haragu back from his injury.

Let's see how we do this week.

2-1 @ Batavia with the Bats finally starting to hit the ball scoring 18 runs in the three game series....then score only four runs in three games, including two shutouts, while getting SWEPT @ California. The Bats are now 3-9 in their last 12 games and I'm starting to believe this team might not be nearly as good as I anticipated.

If the struggled continue, it might be time to send some aging vets packing.

Another positive week 4-2 for Dallas, 3-0 against Hartford as expected and 1-2 against Maine who was expected as well... We can´t win great teams If we reach the play-offs will be 1 and done.

Now New York and New Orleans, a 3-3 Week will be welcome!

4-2. I almost want to believe we might be good.

Woah 7-0 week. Now that's what I'm talking about.

Roadie up to New England with Hartford and Pawtucket this week.

Really pleased with my rotation, they've been great. Not sure where Jamie Thomas figures in this...he might be next to go.

Dave Shook wins rookie of the month again, as well has taking home his first Batter of the month award. Been doing an awesome job for us this year, hope it continues.

4-3 week. The hitting is there. The pitching, as always... not so much.

In the farm, I'm enjoying what my guys are doing down there. Hoping it all comes together when it's promotion time. A nice reminder that I need to keep my first round picks. Drafting a couple average-to-good players is one thing I've been doing right the past couple seasons.

Gabby Smith missed most of last year with a major injury. But he came back and did amazingly well in 5 A ball starts to start this season. Now he's in AA at 23 and he's doing better there than he did in A ball. I think he might reach AAA before the end of the season. Could be a mid-June call up in 2013. He has now gone three straight starts without surrendering a run (4 of his last 5).

T.J. Davis might be the last major prospect we ever traded for and this one has worked out for us. In 6 of his past 7 starts, he has given up one run or less. He will be up very soon.

We traded away Dave Perkins to acquire the pick that became Manny Reyna. We still love him and everything about his performance seems to indicate he could join Gabby Smith as a mid-June call-up in 2014. But it's also possible both aren't up till 2015. I can wait because there's not much else to do in Denver.

And then there's Zachary Potter. My pride and joy. His walk numbers are the highest it has ever been in his professional career, but he's facing men now and that's bound to happen. The most important thing is he keeps the ball down and he doesn't give up walks. I'll take him walking 100 a year if he's striking out 200 in 200 innings and only giving up 150 or so hits. I tend to believe he's so busy striking out guys, the walks won't affect him much. In his last start he threw 5 innings, walking 7 and striking out 10. He gave up 3 hits. That's a lot of baserunners but a good example of how the walks don't really hurt him as much.

Somehow Amir Pugh is considered my top hitting prospect and a Top 100 player. It's probably the speed and defense but suddenly, after struggling to hit the ball the last two seasons, he gets promoted to AA, gets a ratings bump (minor one) and is OPSing .842. Maybe there's something there.

Took 2/3 from LA after splitting a 4 game set from Toronto. I have no idea my team is doing what its doing when 2/5 of my rotation is basically batting practice right now.
