For the first time I remember in his 12 seasons as a Guide — and immediately after signing a contract extension — Steve Suarez appears on the Top Players list.

I didn't see it coming. He hit terribly for us last year.

I feel like you're collecting former Guides.

Loved him. He probably still wears his Batavia rings around Baltimore's clubhouse.

Taken one pick before me in 1997.

My consolation prize was OF BJ Jobe. He carved out a nice career but not on Suarez level.

Shall I demote him to AA, to allow him to bat and defend better? Or just keep him there to don´t piss him off and impact in his development??
                He's hitting .162 with a .436 OPS.

The demotion to Double-A will upset him but he will develop better. Honestly, I might have started him in Single-A this year. Getting him to Double-A is 100% the move to make.

His morale will get better when he starts hitting and if your Double-A team is winning.

Just taking a look at some the box scores and game logs of Baltimore games this past week and this caught my eye. Baltimore has runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Carlson (LHP) on the mound for Batavia to close out the 1-0 lead in the 13th inning. Oscar Sanchez at the plate.

                        0-0: Called Strike
                        0-1: Ball
                        Passed Ball!
                        Travis Krummen scores
                        Pat Silvia to third
                        1-1: Swinging Strike
                        1-2: 2-RUN HOME RUN (Flyball, 8RXD), Distance : 501 ft

500ft? Now that's how you hit a walk off home run.

We've lost our best hitter, we've lost our best pitcher. Yet here we are scrapping away.

Herberholtz is on fire lately. This guy is just amazing. He needs 66 more strikeouts to break the all time record, and 6 more wins to hit 200.
