I had both of those players pegged as guys you would target. Your ability to get a legit veteran bullpen through free-agency year after year, for about $10M, continues to be impressive.

Washington Bats sign free agent SP Travis DuFour to a minor league contract.
Probably given him a retirement start in September or October if we have clinched.

      ---

I really like the signings in California. SP Meija, MR Alveraz and MR Amaral are now joined by CL Jamie Crook and 2B Jamie Wentworth. If the youngsters can make some strides this might be a Wild Card contender.

Fink lost 1 on stuff, 2 MPH on his velocity...but is showing a bump in control. Moon lost 1 on stuff but a bump in movement. According to OSA.

You still have the #1 rotation in baseball according to positional strength.

I'd say he holds that spot for about 3 more months.

Zack Gaston, Dusty Simmons, Duane Porter and BJ Mobley retire.

And so does 29-year-old SP Julian Vega who spent all of last year as a Free-Agent. OSA has him 5-5-5, 97 MPH fastball, and was a 3+ WAR per year guy in Philly. Someone should have scooped him up.

After being active with extensions and minor league signings (well which we paid actual money for a few youngsters) Pawtucket is now quiet.

Plus side: Pat Howell is already the #6 ranked 1B??? Well he's really a backup C/ 1B and starting DH, but its sort of nice to know.

Really not sure what we need to do. Might just roll with the hand we are dealt. We still have enough money to pick up a bargain if one comes alone otherwise we'd be perfectly happy adding 1,000 more seats and continue to run with a high PD budget.

Ready for the season to start.

Signed CJ Rackham, Negussu Sadiki along with veteran glove first catcher Ron Trussell this sim... Trussell will back up del rio to form an outstanding defensive team of backstops, while Ruben Luna will transition into strictly a DH this season. Hopefully it revitalizes his bat.

Rackham should be ready to go by spring training and he will be converted to strictly a reliever, we like the idea of him having 3 plus pitches out of the pen. Our transformation of the pen looks to be complete now with adding Valunzela, JD Cook from the left side, and Ming Hoa Zi, Rackham and Sadiki from the right. They'll join Raymer, Guardian and Tubby in the relief corps.

Also locked up our defensive wiz SS Seth Herrington for less than 3.5 mil per season for the next 5 years. Productive sim for us. Ready to let Peller and Shook join the every day lineup, and get back to baseball.

We got defensive wiz Folger to man 3B for us. The infield gets stronger.

Really happy to sign Rich Pena. Coveted him since the draft and he's a good vsLHP batter to compliment Banuelos.

Last order of business: a right handed defensive centerfielder.

Happy to sign SP Duvall as that completed our revamped rotation. We also signed our starting 3B Oscar Rodriguez, strong defensively and had a decent season last year, which was his first starting position in the bigs.
