But for real, I'm going to need someone in the Pilsner to end the championship drought.

Is it even a drought if it's never rained?

No, it's not. There's less gravity there. That's the point.

We've been trying to take care of most of that before the playoffs. They seem cheaper around that point. I guess this only works for the minors though.

Go Tobs, I might just have to roll with the same crew and see if it happens again.

Dug a little into the offseason, this FA class is pretty terrible if you're looking for an impact player overall. I think there are some bargain type roleplayers though. I wonder if the price for the average guys is higher than usual since there aren't too many high end players that are going to be worth their contracts?

I'd expect some FA signings for average types to be quick and at their demands since I don't anticipate a lot of money being held for a marquee player's decision.

It's been pretty quiet this season on the trade front (especially waivers), but I think there are quite a few teams who would benefit from vet-for-vet deals this offseason.

It's been tough for sure. Kind of hoping for one of those Intl studs to pop up, but me and another Ale GM agree free agency isn't shaping up to well.

Pawtucket only has one opening this offseason. Seems 'Beanpole' is at least one or two seasons away. Maybe once he's ready we might become more active.

Free agent note: 1B Jon Montalvo will become a free agent for those looking for power hitting. He's been to the Brewmaster an amazing 5 times (3 Paw, 2 Bat) If your looking to take the next step check him out.

From OOTP boards. Both these replies were to someone who said its population based.

If the Mets get an owner willing to spend -- which is supposed to be able to happen in OOTP -- they are very capable of being a relatively big-spending team. They have in the past. It shouldn't be the same market size as the Yankees, because it should more properly be thought of "size of fan base with money to spend on baseball" not merely "humans living in the metro area."
