At this point we have several options. Please feel free to add any.

    - Wait until another patch is released to fix these issues.

    - Roll back to patch 1 and continue the league like we were before. Everyone would have to uninstall and reinstall their game and wouldn't get the benefits of patch 2 for any offline games.

    - Post changes on the forums and have me make them in my copy (which seems to work) I would limit this to lineup and roster changes only. (no strategy settings)

    - Scrap the whole thing and start over when a stable version is released.

I vote we download the 1.01 version and continue how we were.

The link is here for the full 1.01 download (patch already installed) http://ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp2006_setup_101.exe

If people want to do this, you need to make sure to follow the correct process.

      1) Unlicense the game in Control Panel -> ELicense Control -> Sports Interactive -> Right Click OOTPBB 2006 - > Select Unlicense
      2) Uninstall the game from Add/Remove programs
      3) Reinstall using the link provided by Mahoney.

I'd also recommend going into Program Files and manually deleting anything left in the Sports Interactive folder prior to reinstall. (I have not done this, but many many uninstallers leave a ton of files behind)

          Hmm

I think that's probably the best option as well. Although I dont know how long it will take all 20 teams to committ and actually do this...

That's the biggest thing I'm worried about, is that you guys will get fed up and stop playing. I expect to have to replace a few Owners already, so anybody who has a preference here and is still interested, please chime in.

If you are right and we are one of the few online leagues (since no one else has seemingly figured out how to import) I don't think we would have trouble finding new owners.

Another advantage we have is most of the active owners (on the forums anyways) are the bad teams. It's a lot easier to find owners if the team they would be taking over isn't in last place.

I'm up for whatever. Just let me know. I'm too attached to my team to quit on them now.

I'm all for anything. Doesn't really matter to me.

Option #1 would be indefinite so that is a no go in my mind.

Option #2 is okay, but weren't there supposed to be some pretty significant features in patch #2.

Option #3 seems to be the best, but would be extremely time consuming for you.

Option #4 is a last result but still not a bad one in my opinion. I'm in first place and I don't mind saying that. The reason is that we've all learned a little something about the game throughout this brief season and, if nothing else, it would have prepared us for how to approach it the second time around.

I'll offer my opinions on each of the options as well.

#1 - Worst option in my opinion because the longer we wait, more people will lose interest.

#2 - Probably the easiest option at this point, that would allow us to continue. Unfortunately we wouldn't get the benefits of patch 2 in regards to bullpen usage, etc.

#3 - Probably the best option but might be more work than I can handle.

#4 - Not a bad option because we could tweak the rules that we wanted to (disable draft pick comp, turn scouts and coaches on, etc) but I don't want people who are attached to their teams to lose interest. Also would mean we'd have to wait for another patch since it looks like even leagues that started with patch 2 are having problems.

IMO, the 2nd patch really offered a lot of useful utilities, as well as fixing some of the bullpen irregularities we were seeing. For this reason, my choice would be to wait for a short amount of time on news of a patch, and short of any news, to start over when a patch arrives. That would allow us all a trial run where we got used to the game mechanics, as well as giving us an opportunity to weed out any owners who either aren't participating now or won't stick with us through the (hopefully brief) lull.

I like my team and I'm attached to it, but IMO the 2nd patch offered too much to cast it aside and backtrack to the previous version. Additionally, the odds of everyone managing to do that correctly aren't good and that would create yet more work for you. So my choices would be to either wait for a patch, or start anew when a new one arrives.

                        #1) No
                        #2) Best option
#3) Nope. There are so many changes to make it wouldn't be fair to Andrew or to the individual teams.
#4) Prefer not. I'm too attached to the sack of suck on my current roster to start over.

I'd start over...though I'll miss John "Electric" McNeilage. I guess the point I'm trying to make is, regardless of what option is decided upon, I'm not going anywhere.

                            We'll hold the line.

If we start over would it be a full reboot or would we still have the initial rosters?
