I don't know, if anyone is looking at one stat or whatever to tell them a player should be HOF worthy, that just seems lazy. Not saying anyone is, but I really don't think you can. I really think you need to factor in stats, place in the game relative to peers of their generation, awards, etc.
And as far as the longevity thing goes, for Noah and his 2800 hits for example, I think it means something in this league. With the fallout we experience from version to version, I think there's something to be said for a guy that can rack up those kind of stats. I think he belongs. He's not the elite of the HOF, but he belongs in there. I view him as one of the best middle infielders the BLB has seen.

Same thing for Bafford. He's top five in Stout Slugger voting.
Same with Hightower.
I think you guys are putting too much stock in a simple comment that wasn't meant to suggest you only vote based on All Star Games. That would be like suggesting you should only vote based on OPS.Denver Bulls

We need to keep more of these older players on the ballot so that we can see their accomplishments in relation to the newer candidates. 35-40% is probably better.

28 on my ballot.
I would like to make the case for Mike Murdock going forward but I think it's going to fall on deaf ears. Like Matt said, people make cases for players year after year and they very rarely sway voters. Murdock is a 50/50 guy. Half of voters think he is HOF. Half do not.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
Washington Bats - 1979-2013
