      He was!

      Chuck had more longevity.

I'll still take Geoff any year from 1989 to 1993 over any single season Chuck had.

Chuck was a very good starter still at age 36. He had great seasons. I love Chuck. I never signed him but I wish I had.

This was a great idea- it was fun to revisit the good old days of the league. Great writeup Z by the way. The love for Joe Rojas is appreciated- guy had arguably the best rookie season in BLB history as well. Just a consistent beast.

Haven't voted yet, but I think the problem here, as it is every other year, is that there's no easy way to see how a player performed relative to their peers, by both era and position. I think we'd be well served with some kind of utility upgrade or something, knowing full well I have no clue how to implement something like this nor do I have any idea how much time it would take.

            Does that make sense?

You can just search by time period or over the length of the player's career using the utility. Is that what you mean?

Probably. I was just thinking that for this league, it would be nice if on the voting page, there was a subsection or note stating where a guy ranks at the BLB level for hits or homers or whatever.

That said, I just voted for 30 players. I looked over Noah George's stats and wondered how the hell he wasn't in yet. The guys a no-brainer, I thought. After submitting my vote, I see he now has 3 votes. Well done everyone.

This isn't the MLB. We need to look at these guys as the elite of our little league here. The way I'm looking at it now, is after looking at the players entire body of work, would I ecstatic if he just had that career with my team. Not on a retire the number level, but a notch higher.

Using that logic, I found 30 players I wish I had on my team for an entire career. Most of it anyway.

I get the point of being super selective, but a Hall of Fame without players is weird.

What baffles me is how Haynes has 100% votes and Kubota is barely making the cut for next year.

I voted Haynes, Kubota, and Murdock. For all the really good catchers our world has seen, these guys really stood out to me.

Its just doesn't make sense to me. Here's the list of all-time OBP. ALL-TIME.

                      1.Gramades (HOF)
                      2.Elliot (not-HOF)
                      3.Gaston (will be HOF)
                      4.Kellum (HOF)
                      5.Hamilton (Will be HOF)
                      6.Woodbury (HOF)
                      7.Kubota (struggling to make HOF)
                      8.Marshburn (will be HOF)
9.Guzman (best player ever and HOF)
                      10.Cahill (passed over for HOF)

I don't see the justification for him not being in the HOF.

I think we are super selective and it's not good.

I think the Hall of fame is what it says. Fame. The NBA has it right. I guess the NFL, even more so. They elect anyone that was great even if for a short period of time.

Taking today for example. I can bet, and you can save this quote for when we are all 40 and this comes up, that Kyle Korver makes the hall of fame.

If this were baseball, everyone would complain he was never a go to guy, wasn't great defensively, didn't have any all nba votes, only one all star selection, etc. I guarantee he makes the NBA Hall of Fame.

Why do we treat our league like MLB which has always gotten it wrong? It's the dumbest Hall of Fame in sports that uses the stupidest argument known to man: "because that's how we've always done it."

Might as well never change any rules either. Oh well.

I'm with you guys. I'm losing my mind here. I voted for 35 guys.

I don't know who isn't voting for players because those owners aren't participating in the discussion about players.

Okay I'll admit I'm being crazy by saying Korver. But I can think of a few players with hof credentials in this final four teams. You can't do that with last year's final four teams in MLB and the rosters are larger!

It's not me. I usually vote for way more then ends up making.

One note perhaps. If I'm strict anywhere maybe it's bullpen. I stay in the camp they are a dime a dozen. Just my view. It's never hard to put a good staff together and the game simply makes to many of them IMO.

Other then closers, I'm full game and letting more players in the Hall.
